Lower Polnish is a one of a kind self-catering cottage as it cannot be reached by road, (unless you own a real 4x4 and have nerves of steel), however a week or two at Lower Polnish more than repays the effort of a 300 yard walk down a steep wooded valley and across a babbling burn (handily it has a bridge) to reach this romantic, secluded and picturesque seaside cottage. Built in 1750 within a stone’s throw of the sea, and with miles of private shore that is just waiting to be explored. Lower Polnish was completely renovated in 2018, with a new floor to ceiling glass extension so you can enjoy the spectacular scenery. It has a wood-burning stove, magnificent views across the bay during the day, and if a cloudless night, fabulous views of the stars in the evening.
