The peaceful village of Llangynidr is tucked within the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. A breathtakingly beautiful destination known for mountains such as Pen y Fan, Corn Du, Cribyn and overlooking the property the local mountain Tor-y-Foel.
There is something here for everyone; daily walks, cycling, exploring the picturesque market towns of Crickhowell, Brecon, Abergavenny, and a little further afield the famous book lovers town of Hay on Wye, or spending time visiting local outdoor pursuit attractions such as Llangorse Lake, the Black Mountains or local biking attractions.
Discover the surrounding area on foot, by bike, or even via the water on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. There are opportunities to suit every guest, whether you prefer to spend the day shopping and exploring local towns, taking part in the huge range of outdoor activities within a few miles of the property or evenings spent catching up with loved ones in the local pubs within walking distance of the property.
Walnut tree stores is only a very short distance walk from the property providing groceries, sweets, ice cream, newspapers, off licence, post office and Café/ Bistro with food to eat in or take away.

Bike park Wales-best day out in UK! A goo rest day in Hay on wye looking in book shops and lunch out to nurse ore muscles. Lovely autumn colours in waterfall country and Sunday lunch at the Old white Horse. Thank you for your hospitality, we had great trip

Recommended -The red lion Public house for meals, the Big Pit, Blaenavon Iron works if interested in industrial heritage. Blaenavon heritage railway and Brecon Mountain railway Tretower Court & Castle. If you like gardens, the National Botanical Gardens of Wales is a good place to visit about hour and half journey from here. Than you for a quiet and relaxing stay in Riversdale.

Caerfanell waterfalls were beautiful and is a good car park at the beginning of the walk. The Big pit was vey interesting, its best to get there early as the wait time for the pit tours can become quite long later in the day. Thank you for being the perfect hosts, we have loved staying here X
