Set back above a quiet single track lane, Velvet Cottage is the perfect place to unwind from the stresses of everyday life. With three bedrooms and a private offroad parking bay for one vehicle (plus parking for a second), our self catering holiday let can accommodate up to five guests. You can eat locally, drive into Llangollen or cater for yourselves in our well equipped kitchen, the choice is yours. The enclosed garden is suitable for dogs to explore freely. There are a wealth of outdoor activities available to you in the local area, including some of the best walking in the UK, right from the doorstep. Follow in the footsteps of Wallace and Gromit across Froncysyllte Aqueduct, or Thomas the Tank Engine on the Llangollen steam railway.
For indoor entertainment, a smart TV, DVD player and lots of traditional games will keep the kids young and old happy.

Just what we needed

I have to say it was a lovely little cottage, just what me and the pugs needed. Ian was great with all communications, even listing places for food and a few walks. I would highly recommend going there and some lovely walks.

Sweet cottage, lovely views

The house was very sweet with lots of nice features and the view was amazing. We loved the walks right from the door step and Wales was beautiful in Autumn. We especially liked the Abbey and pond and the people were very friendly.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage, it was very clean and comfortable, and Ian was most helpful with information about the local area and other useful tips. Very good value for money, would highly recommend.
