We stayed here in March 2022. Myself, my wife and two children aged 7 and 6. We had an absolutely amazing time. Arriving at the place is quite breathtaking- the beach is the best I’ve ever been to in the uk and you pass this minutes before arrival. The cottage is beautiful. Decorated to the highest standard and retaining all the character that it clearly has. The beach is a 5-10 minute walk. We were pretty much the only ones there on what was a very hot March weekend. The sand was perfect for the kids to play football and dig and make sandcastles for hours. We watched the sun set directly over the sea which was amazing. We took in a visit to Little Italy - Portmeirion- if you haven’t heard of this place google it. I would highly recommend it. All in all a fantastic break - thank you!
This is probably the nicest accommodation we've ever stayed in, home from home for comfort and easy use of WiFi, TV's, central heating etc. We were lucky enough to be Gwelfor's 1st guests. It's very tastefully furnished, no expense spared. The beach is fantastic with amazing views around the bay. We mostly used the steps down to the beach as they're only a short walk from the cottage. Look out for the medieval 'church in the sand dunes' St. Tanwg's at Llandanwg, only a couple of minutes' drive along the road. A resident told us it was dug out of the sand dunes 25 yrs ago. A lovely tale of a beautiful little church, well worth a visit.
