It was such a privilege to stay in Brynglas cottage in the beautiful Towy valley.

By Peter on 23-Sep-2024

It was such a privilege to stay in Brynglas cottage in the beautiful Towy valley. Frederieke and Eilir have created a special place with such care, sensibility and professional design expertise. Everything you need is provided and more, with many special objects, historic and contemporary, functional too. We especially enjoyed reading about their brave decision to keep Eilir’s Aunt Lil’s home and restore and adapt it with such love and professionalism. What a treat to stay in such a warm and personal environment. Peter and Anne, Les and Annie Sydney, Australia

We had a lovely 3 night stay at Brynglas. It was exactly as described - cosy and tastefully restored and decorated, and in a quiet, beautiful location. Would definitely recommend. Margaret and Pete

Absolutely outstanding cottage

Absolutely outstanding cottage, immaculate with everything you could possibly need to have a fantastic holiday. Great location and absolutely fantastic owner who clearly love this little gem of a building with lovely family history.

This was one of the best, if not the best cottage we’ve ever rented.

By Rachel on 06-Sep-2024

This was one of the best, if not the best cottage we’ve ever rented. The facilities were amazing and there was nothing lacking….oh tell a lie it would have been lovely to have a boot tray inside the door as we had a wet week so our boots were wet upon entering…but other than that we loved the cottage and the area. We made use of the Towy Bridge Inn (four doors away) but maybe a mile walk. Lovely pub food using local ingredients. Very friendly and welcoming. The walks from the front door were amazing but a word of warning about footpaths in the area, they are not all maintained, but the bridleways and forest tracks are amazing. There were some spectacular views and some wet views! It was amazing to come back each evening to the cottage and it was a pleasure to cook in the lovely kitchen and sit by the fire of an evening. One day we could only pop out for a quick supermarket trip but to spend the day in the cottage was a pleasure and in a way we loved that the weather was so bad so that we had an excuse to sit and appreciate the cottage. I went on holiday completely stressed and exhausted and came back a relaxed and rested person - this in itself is enough reason to book the cottage. We had one clear night sky and loved sitting outside gazing upwards and will go back to the cottage again for the cottage itself, the views, the night sky and the peace. Thoroughly recommend but don’t tell everyone or else we will not be able to book another week!!

Spotlessly clean cosy cottage in outstanding countryside

We throughly enjoyed our stay at this beautifully renovated cottage. It was spotlessly clean and cosy and our hosts had thought of everything. The views and surrounding countryside are outstanding, you can not fail to enjoy staying here!

Brynglas cottage is the perfect home-from-home

By Tim on 15-Aug-2024

Brynglas cottage is the perfect home-from-home, for a relaxing stay with all the comforts taken care of. Frederieke's and Eilir's attention to detail is extraordinary, from the beautiful decor and luxury bed linen to the relaxing scents and well-organised kitchen amenities. The situation is ideal, tucked away, private and quiet with lovely views from the garden and within easy reach of so many iconic Welsh locations. I couldn't recommend this cottage highly enough, and we hope to return before long. Tim
