If you feel like a walk further a field it is possible to walk via the beach into Carbis Bay and enjoy the location where world leaders congregated for the G7 in 2020 and enjoyed a Cornish Beach BBQ. The location was chosen to impress President's and Prime Minister's as it is indisputably "World Class", something many famous artists became aware of hundreds of years ago when the likes of Whistler was first attracted to the special St. Ives "light". Ferryman's has its own artistic history as it was the home and studio of John Miller who forever captured the beauty of the location in his iconic seascapes. Indeed one of the paintings of location being used for Chris Rea's "King of the Beach" Album Cover. The location has also inspired writers and the famous local author Rosamunde Pilcher described the walk to the house as her favourite walk: "My favourite walk is at Lelant, down the road past the Church onto the golf course. You see the bay and the colours, and it's never the same - it's just perfect."
A little further on you from Lelant you can enjoy fantastic cafes, pubs, and restaurants as you stroll down the South West Coastal Route into St Ives and visit the Tate or the many charming traditional Cornish towns nearby. Easy day outings include the Eden Project, Lands End, Minack Theatre, St. Michael's Mount, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan.
