ACTIVITIES IN THE PORT
- Rance Canoe Kayak Club : Rent a kayak, paddle, or canoe to explore the Rance! Available for rental in July and August from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and by reservation for the rest of the year.
- Dina'Vig : Explore the Rance River on an electric boat—no license required. Various trips are available, ranging from 1 hour to a full day, accommodating 4 to 9 people.
- Kaouann : Rent a variety of bikes, from hybrid models to tandems, for short rides or multi-day adventures. In summer, enjoy guided tours that include local product tastings. The flat paths along the port are perfect for riders of all age.
NEIGHBOURING LÉHON
A very pleasant 15-20 minute stroll along the scenic towpath from the port brings you to the neighbouring village of Léhon, a picturesque spot rich in history and charm. Known for its medieval architecture, cobbled streets, and tranquil riverside setting, Léhon has been recognised as one of the "Petites Cités de Caractère" (Small Towns of Character) for its cultural and historical significance.

ACCOMODATION OVERVIEW
La Tannerie offers a cozy, spacious, and well-equipped retreat, making it a wonderful place to return to after a day of exploring. The sitting room, kitchen, and all the bedrooms provide stunning views of the historic Dinan port, adding to the charm of the property. At the rear of the property, you’ll find a secluded courtyard that’s perfect for relaxing, complete with comfortable garden furniture and a Weber BBQ for outdoor dining. There’s ample parking space in the courtyard with room for one large or two small cars, this area is secured with lockable front gates for added privacy and peace of mind. If you're traveling with two families and have two large cars, there are free of charge parking spaces available just a couple of minutes' walk from the property, located along the riverside in front of the Mercure Hotel.
- The front entrance is located on the picturesque riverside, leading into a cozy sitting room that exudes warmth and comfort. The space is thoughtfully furnished, creating a homely and inviting atmosphere. From the sitting room, you can step into the charming conservatory, perfect for those needing a quiet place to work from home. This space flows naturally into a secluded courtyard, enhanced with beautiful plants. In the corner of the courtyard, a wooden chalet provides a peaceful retreat, offering shade and a tranquil spot to relax away from the sun.
- The kitchen is a highlight, offering a modern, well-equipped space where you can prepare meals while enjoying stunning views of the riverside. Adjacent to the kitchen, you’ll find a utility room that includes a washer and dryer, offering convenience, and a separate toilet for added comfort.
- On the upper floor, you’ll find two charming bedrooms, both with scenic views. Bedroom 1 features a comfortable double bed with an ensuite bathroom and toilet, while bedroom 2 is equipped with twin beds and an ensuite shower room with toilet. From this level, a circular staircase ascends to the Master Suite, a cosy and romantic space featuring an ensuite shower room with a toilet. This serene retreat offers panoramic views of the surrounding area and is perfect for relaxation. However, its location on the second floor may be less suitable for guests with walking difficulties.

"Magnificent Views of the Old Port"

A very pleasant atmosphere in the neighbourhood, lively but not overcrowded. Watch the port wake up in the morning, and the ramparts lit by the rising sun, we were never tired of it! The house is beautiful, well equipped, very comfortable beds and seating and very functional. We didn't miss anything. Communication with Judith was perfect.

Small restaurants close and across the river. (Everything closes well before midnight, so nights are quiet) From the house you can walk straight into cozy Dinan. Bakery across the street! The property is beautiful and complete. The beds are excellent and the WiFi is very good! There are canoes for rent nearby as well as bicycles. The bike paths are fantastic! We had a fantastic week with our family with children between 15 and 26! Absolutely recommended! Thank you very much Judith

A very short walk across the bridge allows access to a multitude of restaurants to cater for all tastes. A lovely walk into the spectacular town of Dinan (up a rather steep but amazingly beautiful cobbled hill) opens up further culinary opportunities and beautiful views from the old castle and ramparts. The house is extremely well appointed and catered for our family of five brilliantly – private parking in the courtyard was a definite bonus too. We explored the area around us extensively however; it was always quite a pull to leave Dinan and a real welcome upon our return each day. This property comes highly recommended!

Great selection of restaurants around. La Tannerie is ideally situated, spacious, nicely decorated, clean and comfortable accommodation with a lovely terrace, a real sun-trap! The top thing we enjoyed was the location, right on the river, with a few nice restaurants right nearby, boat rentals, and easy access up to the center of town. Other things we enjoyed were that each bedroom has its own bathroom, plus a powder room on the first floor, the open garden/sun terrace area at the rear, and the easy comfort of the home. Judith was very sweet and helpful and great with communication. We would recommend this comfortable home as a nice base to explore the area. We were in fact very sad to leave!
