Curlew Cottage offers amazing views of the waterfront from the private hot tub where you can enjoy the atmosphere and listen to the relaxing calls of the estuary birds. The cottage is in the heart of the NW Lancashire countryside on the estuary, a stunning site of special conservation interest, and in easy reach of pretty country towns, seaside resorts and the Lake District. Perfect for walking, cycling, romantic escapes, family holidays and group bookings.

Curlew Cottage is a fully self-contained and private detached cottage on a large two acre site along with another holiday cottage and our own home. Curlew Cottage is spacious both inside and outside, providing three bedrooms (sleeping six people), a lovely New England coastal inspired interior design, and a private garden area with six-person hydrotherapy hot tub which is not overlooked. Here you can create the holiday you want - from leisurely walks along the stunning coastal footpaths which are right on your doorstep, to fun on the beach and in the nightspots of Blackpool, meals and drinks in the cool independent bars and restaurants of Poulton-le-Fylde, and activities such as birdwatching, pony trekking, archery, kayaking and water sports, petting zoo and clay pigeon shooting. Beautiful coastal walks are easily accessible, including the estuary footpath which can be picked up at the bottom of the cottage's driveway. An ideal holiday destination for walking or cycling, a luxury break and romantic escape for two, a fun-filled family holiday, short breaks and group bookings.

Curlew Cottage is dog friendly and all breeds of dog are accepted - we don't specify the number of dogs you can bring, it really depends on their size, so please let us know the number of dogs and size to confirm they can be accommodated comfortably in the cottage. The estuary footpath and Knottend on Sea beach are dog friendly, as are many of our local pubs.

Lovely place to unwind

By Nadine on 30-Dec-2024

Lovely place to unwind, tranquil setting and great location to peacefully see in the New Year! Nicola was so helpful, answering any queries we had in the lead up to the booking. The accommodation was beautifully and tastefully decorated and the hot tub was a real plus.

Perfect Getaway!

By Chris W on 26-Dec-2024

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Curlew Cottage! The property was lovely and modern with plenty of space for 4 adults and 4 dogs, it had everything needed for whilst we were there, it was warm and more importantly, clean! The welcome pack was very generous and no expense has been spared throughout this property! Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet Nicola as she was away for the duration of our stay, but Scott took great care of us! Can highly recommend!

Fabulous stay, we'd recommend to anyone

By Lucy on 22-Nov-2024

We had an amazing stay at Nicola’s as a group of girls celebrating our 30th birthdays. The house was beautiful with everything we needed. Communication was great before and during the stay. The hot tub was sadly not working but Nicola and her husband accommodated us so well, allowing us to use a separate one, and this was absolutely perfect. We were also provided with snacks, tea and coffee, slippers and gowns to use while we were there as well as a bottle of Prosecco! It was a fabulous stay, great value for money, and we’d recommend to anyone. Thanks so much for a great weekend.
