I feel like I don’t want to leave a review, as this is such a hidden gem. The location is perfect for exploring North Yorkshire on your doorstep. If you want quiet then this place is for you. With all the basic amenities available within a 5-10 minute walk. The property is extensively furnished with everything to make your stay perfect. In the evenings you can light the log burner and watch the flicker of the flames while drinking a large glass of red wine. We choose to live on going out for meals and the odd takeaway, however the kitchen has everything that you need to cook with, and fridge and freezer in place. Although the fridge was used mainly to chill the wine 😂. We took our small dog with us who just lazed if front of the fire and was very reluctant to go out for a walk. Summing up you’ll love this small wonderful located cottage, in a quiet location. Nearly forgot to say go to Blakey Ridge and try the food at the Lion Inn.
Lovely cottage, quiet, lovely and clean with everything you need for your stay. Also a perfect setting for visiting the local attractions.
Lantern cottage was just perfect for us! We loved the cosiness and everything was spotlessly clean. We all really enjoyed the location, being quiet but able to walk easily to amenities. And all such a short drive to the moors. Thank you Lantern cottage for a wonderful stay.
As an extremely late holiday we had no idea what to expect from Lantern cottage. But i can honestly say we have loved staying in this cottage! Its cosy, compact and comfortable and has provided the perfect base to explore North Yorkshire from. We would defiantly stay again.
Wonderful holiday! Cottage wonderfully clean and homely. WE slept like bugs in that comfy bed! Great area and location was perfect for us to walk and visit. Lovely cottage, fabulous weather its been perfect - thank you.
