Another excellent stay

This was our third time staying here. Excellent accommodation with lovely views. Absolutely spotless. Lots to do in the area- only three miles out of Kelso. Appreciated the homemade scones on arrival.

5 stars Begrum Cottage at Burnbrae Holidays

We stayed here for 10 nights August to September 2024 . The cottage was immaculately clean and we had everything we needed to self cater . The area is very quiet and the view from the back of the cottage looked out onto lovely rolling Scottish Borders scenery . The owner was very welcoming and helpful . The cottage was ideally situated for visits to Floors Castle , Mellerstain House and Melrose Abbey . It was an easy short drive to many other places on fairly quiet roads such as Paxton House , the Union Bridge and Abbotsford .

No country cottage was ever like this.

Just a wonderful place to be in, peaceful comfortable accommodation, my wife & I could have sat in the conservatory and watched the birds all day long, house martins, woodpeckers, siskins, they were so close you could almost touch them. So many places to visit, truly a very memorable holiday.

Excellent base for walkers & cyclists

By Andrea on 20-May-2024

Our third visit to Burnbrae and as on previous occasions the accommodation was excellent, immaculate presentation, everything you could possibly need, including a lovely welcome tray with homemade baking. An ideal location for anyone staying in the Scottish Boarders either to relax or to enjoy the great walking and cycling opportunities the area has to offer Yvette is a first class host, nothing is too much trouble and is able to provide lots of information on the area.
