Description

Rowan cottage is located within the village of Salen, the most central point on the island. Being only 10 miles from the main ferry and another 10 miles to the main town of Tobermorry. The cottage is perfectly located to explore the island. The cottage is one that becons the visitor to Mull back time and time again. It is in absolutely immaculate condition, very high standards of cleanliness being a to[ priority. The cottage is an intriguing combination of one of Salen`s oldest and yet is a tastefully updated one having all the modern appliances one would expext in a cottage of this quality, especially in the breakfasting kitchen. It has a very cosy lounge,TV of course, with excellent heating including the wood burning stove which will also heat the water and radiators along with convector heaters throughout the cottage should you not wish to use the stove. The bedrooms are tastefully deorated, the beds very comfortable for the weary souls after a logn days of hillwalking or simply enjoying the wildlife. The toilet/shower room is small but more that adequate and the occassional low ceiling reminds one that this is a cottagethat has its origins in the past. Not many of those have escaped the ravages of time so this is a real gem. A great bonus is that there is ample private parking opposite the cottage with a large barbecue area just behind in a wonderful expanse of lawn within our 2.5acre croft. This is ideal for friends getting together at the end of the day or indeed, having breakfast al fresco.Within a hundred yards of the cottage, one can take advantage of the hotel, spar shop, coffee shop and restraurant not forgetting the all important petrol station., an essential for those long, incredible drives round this stunning hebridean island.
Electricity is paid for by £1 coin meter, you only pay for what you use.
