Description

The Coach House is a hidden gem in the seaside town of Hunstanton. Situated in private lane and with the most surprising secret garden, this house is the perfect base for a seaside holiday in Hunstanton.

Owned by Georgina and Alan the house is much loved by them and still used for their family holidays. Once you walk in, the property feels serene and calm, well away from the bustle of the town yet only a few minutes from the sea front and main amenities. The property is furnished with a mixture of vintage, modern and antique furniture, with some original artworks on the walls.

Converted from an old coach house, the ceilings are high and the rooms of a good proportion. The sitting room is off the spacious kitchen dining room and is comfortable, with a great selection of books and games to while away the evenings. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and a sociable place to be, great for family meals. French doors open onto a deck area that overlooks the gardens. This gets the evening sun and is perfect for that glass of wine after the beach!

Downstairs you have a shower room and WC.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms. The master suite has a king sized bed, plenty of storage and a futon which could be used for an extra child if needed. Off this bedroom is a good sized en suite bathroom with corner bath, basin and WC. You can see the sea from this bedroom.

The second bedroom has a king sized bed.

Outside is a real surprise. The Coach House has the prettiest secret garden, landscaped in a Mediterranean style with beautiful planting. This is a real treat to sit in this little oasis that you would never know is behind the wall. Such a pretty and perfect retreat to sit and read or have a picnic outside. This area is fully enclosed so safe for children.

A garage provides safe storage for bikes or canoes. There is a fridge freezer in here. You may park in the garage but it is not suitable for very large vehicles. On street parking outside is available in the private road. No thru passing traffic.

Hunstanton is famous for being the only eastern seaside resort that actually faces west, so gets the most amazing sunsets right over the sea. The resort was originally founded in Victorian times by Henry Styleman Le Strange, who’s family still reside locally. The beautiful Victorian and Edwardian villas, many built from carrstone or ‘honeystone’ as it’s known locally, found in the historic quarter of the town reflect this former glory. A wander around this part of the town is something many visitors miss, so it is worth a visit to to the local Heritage Centre to find out a bit more.
