We love this place. It has everything. The cottages are beautifully converted from farm buildings, but in such a way that they feel homely and welcoming rather than stuffy. You feel as though you are on holiday as soon as you arrive. There is plenty for everyone to do: toys for the children, books games and DVDs if it rains, of course the indoor pool, and a superb play area outside if it's sunny. The nearby beach is a joy -- we prefer it to some of the more touristy ones along the coast, and The Ship pub is great as well, although you need to book ahead! There are loads of things to do in the surrounding area, all detailed in the information folder that comes with each cottage -- we always feel as though we've only scratched the surface. The cottages are well supplied with cooking equipment, and safety equipment if you have small people tottering around. We brought the family this year and stayed in Plover and Lapwing -- Lapwing was a brilliant place for everyone to meet for meals and Plover was ideal for a family of four. We are already looking forward to coming back next year...
We had a fantastic stay at Pegedys - thank you Sally for your warm welcome! We were really impressed with the accommodation and the facilities and my daughters especially loved the swimming pool and play park. The detailed information pack in the cottage was really helpful too. Hope to be back soon!
Another return visit to Home Farm Holiday Cottages for a mid week break. We particularly love the location, swimming pool, games room and the cottages. Just a stroll from the beach and very close to the North Norfolk railway. Sally is very helpful and really looks after her guests too! We will be back again..
Home Farm came recommended to us when my husband and I decided to take our adult daughter on holiday as a treat. We started with Driftway, with its two bedrooms, each en suite and this was perfect. Life changed when I broke my hip in 2007 and Home Farm kindly moved our booking over to Naroogal because it had a wet room on the ground floor .. many happy holidays were taken there. Then Flintstone Barn joined the Home Farm, and we found our third home from home. We cannot recommend the Barn and Home Farm highly enough - they offer a level of customer service that one rarely encounters nowadays. The facilities are excellent - you have to love the pool, the games room and the gym, and with the addition of the beauty room (we have yet to try) I think it is pretty much the whole package. We love it and we'll be back.
We travelled as grandparents with our son, daughter-in-law and two young grandchildren (2 years and 5 months). We stayed in Old Flint Barn which was excellent in every way and met our needs perfectly. The indoor swimming pool was a great success and we had it to ourselves on all but one occasion. The outdoor children's play area was also a big hit. Weybourne is well situated and we had days out in Cromer, Sherringham and Wells - all within easy reach. Beach at West Runton was great for crabs and rock pools. Also had a great day out at Pensthorpe nature reserve - well worth the drive. Sally was great - very helpful and cheerful. Would definitely recommend.
We had carefully looked for somewhere to spend the bank holiday weekend with our two toddlers aged 1 and 3 and this one seemed perfect. We were not disappointed. It truly was a home away from home and took the stress away from holidaying with two little ones. We stayed in Fleet Cottage which had two bedrooms and was all on one floor, perfect for us. Upon arrival, Sally had already equipped the cottage with a highchair and cot and quickly offered a bed guard too, amazing! I took advantage of the beauty room on site and had a facial and massage on sat which was lovely and very reasonably priced. We used the indoor swimming pool too, very clean and nice and warm for little ones! We borrowed dvds both evenings for when the little ones were in bed and there was a supply of sticks if you wanted to light a fire. There's a village shop and bar/restaurant a few mins walk away. Shop has all the essentials and people are lovely. We had a drink in the bar on the Sat and tried to book for dinner to no avail so do book if you want to dine at the weekend. We did manage to get a booking for Sun Eve but it was very disappointing and totally in contrast to everything I'd heard and read about it- maybe I was just unlucky. Bound to be worth a try though! The only thing I would say to anyone coming with little ones, bring a travel black out blind as there are no blinds on the windows and my kids got up with the sun which is only going to get earlier the further into spring summer we get!
