Description

PERFECT SURROUNDINGS
This is a 17th century farmhouse, typical of the region. Though not isolated, it is very peacefully situated on a quiet country lane well away from the nearest main road.

What is unusual and pleasant about the house is that you drive in from the lane through high gates into a courtyard which is surrounded on three sides by the house and its barns. On the third side it opens out to the garden – about an acre in all, largely laid to grass and completely fenced in, making this an ideal and safe area for children to play, and for pets.

There is an open-fronted barn overlooking the courtyard which stores a table tennis table, badminton net and other games, and an activity swing set in the shade of the trees.

FARMHOUSE KITCHEN
The house is very comfortable and well furnished, though with an eye to making it suitable for families with children. From the full sized pool table upstairs to the variety of games, books and DVD’s, there is something for everyone.

From the courtyard you will enter into the well fitted and equipped kitchen with a full size fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and cooker. The cupboards are stocked with all the crockery and utensils you would need to make yourself feel fully at home when you stay here.

The farmhouse kitchen leads into the dining room with its large antique pine dining table and seating for 8. An amazing feature of this light and open room is the French windows that open onto the patio and garden where there is another large patio table, seating, and a cantilevered parasol – a perfect area to enjoy the summer evenings.

HOME FROM HOME COMFORT
From the kitchen there is a short corridor leading into the large airy sitting room with its comfortable seating facing the large fireplace stocked with logs for the colder seasons, and french windows opening out onto the courtyard. There is a television with standard UK channels, a DVD player and surround sound system. In this section of the house, there is a spacious bathroom with a double sized walk-in shower and also a very generous sized twin bedroom.

Back to the kitchen, a door leads to another double bedroom with king-size double bed with its own television and large en-suite bathroom with a full sized bath. A second door from the kitchen takes you up a few stairs to the third twin bedroom, with two single beds and stunning traditional farmhouse window overlooking the fields.

MODERN ENTERTAINMENT
Carrying on up a few more steps from this bedroom, you will discover one of the newest and unique features of this modernised farmhouse. This light and beautifully converted attic space now provides further entertainment in the form of another seating area with a television and a full sized pool table.
