Description
The Long Barn is a detached, single storey cottage of traditional Cornish granite, with many original stone features. It is all on one level - no stairs - so is ideal for guests with young families, or for those less mobile. It has an open plan lounge/dining area with a log burning stove, and a modern fully equipped kitchen. There is a halogen hob, with electric oven below, dishwasher, washer/drier, microwave and fridge, and the cupboards are well stocked with all the equipment you need for your home from home.The 2 bedrooms are at one end of the cottage. The romantic master bedroom features a four-poster bed and patio doors lead onto your garden space. Just the place for that well earned "sun downer"; or breakfast 'al-fresco'. The second bedroom has two 3' twin beds.
At the other end of the cottage is the bathroom, with a full sized bath and a separate walk-in corner shower. There is W.C., washbasin, shaver point and heated towel rail. The Long Barn is centrally heated throughout.
Free WiFi., communal freezer, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, cot, stair gate, and high chair.
Outside:
Seating area with garden table and chairs,. sun umbrella and barbeque.
Use of on-site playbarn with Playstation, table football, toys, books and games for all ages.
EV Charging Points
The owners, Liz and Ian live on site and are on hand to welcome you to Tregathenan as well as to help you make the very best of your visit to South West Cornwall. Tregathenan is also home to the owners' many animals, including ducks, chickens, geese and a small herd of alpacas.
Guests are welcome to join the alpaca walk on Wednesday afternoons. Booking essential.

Liz & Ian were superb hosts & the cottages are in a wonderful quiet location, yet only a short journey to many places of interest. The cottage had a whole host of useful things & they run the place in a totally COVID safe way. It was a delight to stay here.
Excellent Stay in the Long Barn

Great location for all the local amenities and the lovely county of Cornwall. Great hosts, Liz and Ian, could not do enough for us during our stay. What a glorious place to stay, we will certainly be revisiting. Thank You
