Leave ReviewEverything was perfect!
By James on 14-Jan-2025It is hard to put into words how much we enjoyed staying at The Old Cragg Hall Barn. Everything was perfect! We stayed 16 days and enjoyed every minute from our first meeting with our host Angela to the last day when we had to hand back the keys. The property was exactly what we needed. Off the beaten track but close enough to the creature comforts. A local which sells good beer and quality food. (Take your pick of 5 or 6), Great restaurants, again too many to choose from, supermarkets, petrol station, local shops, all within a 2-mile radius. The property itself is a lesson in design and function. Well insulated against the subzero temperatures and driving snow. The views across the valley are stunning. Even my 13-year-old city dweller said he could stand for days and never get bored. Constant hot water, a log burner in the living room for cosy nights and a kitchen with everything I needed to cook a Christmas dinner of calibre for six people (without running out of pots and pans). This has to be the best value for money you will spend on holiday let in the UK. I cannot rave on enough. Well worth the 5 stars. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. (A read through the guest book will let you know I'm not alone with my review, with many guests coming back year after year).
5 stars!
By Georgia on 21-Jul-2024We had a thoroughly restful and enjoyable stay at Old Cragg Hall Barn – the perfect place for a ‘reset’. Loved the location and the Barn itself, which has been beautifully restored and is so comfortable we struggled to leave!
