The ancient market town of Marazion with St Michael’s Mount is under 4 miles away. Boasting a long sandy beach and breathtaking views, it’s a must visit during your stay.
St Ives is easily accessible and definitely worth taking the short train journey via the branch line from St Erth Station (a 5 minute drive away), taking in the fantastic views across Hayle’s 3 miles of golden sands along the way. Make memories as a family or take it easy as a couple, the barn lends itself to fun and relaxation in this special area of Cornwall.

The space
The Bank Barn is a spacious, modern, detached converted barn located in the beautiful countryside near St Erth. Tucked away down a lane, the self catering cottage is one of 4 available at Frythens Cottages. Located just a 5 minute drive from the A30, all the local beaches and attractions are within easy reach of the property, making it the perfect base for exploring Cornwall.

Ideal for couples, families or friends, the barn is versatile with a double bedroom, twin bedroom and single bedroom downstairs and kitchen/dining room and comfy living room with wood burner upstairs. With far reaching country views, why not enjoy alfresco dining or play some games, watching the sunset in your own private garden.

The barn offers modern living with a fully fitted kitchen and dining area, including electric cooker with gas hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and all the essential pots, pans and equipment.

Snuggle up on the comfy corner sofa and watch TV in front of the fire (complementary first basket of logs during winter months) in the living room or just sit back and admire the view from the large upstairs window.

There is also an upstairs cloakroom and WC for your convenience.

Downstairs you will find three bedrooms, a king size with chest of drawers, twin with chest of drawers and a single. There is a cupboard with plenty of hanging space for all your clothes in the hallway.

The bathroom with shower, basin, WC and heated towel rail is also on the ground floor.

You will have your own personal garden but feel free to make use of the communal guest field for games or relaxing as well if you wish.

Immaculately clean with everything you could possibly need

By Emma on 17-Aug-2024

Beautiful cottage. Immaculately clean with everything you could possibly need. Comfortable and cosy. Good location for exploring everywhere in west Cornwall. Our family had a fantastic time. Our kids particularly loved playing with the farm cats. We’d recommend this cottage to friends and family and would definitely stay here again.

We loved our week at Bank Barn

By David on 29-Jun-2024

We loved our week at Bank Barn - a beautiful barn in a lovely part of countryside. Our two-year old daughter particularly enjoyed seeing the cows in the field next door and the very friendly farm cats! The location was perfect for us as we could hop in the car easily to explore the area but there are no shops within (reasonable) walking distance. We will definitely stay again!

Lovely accommodation in quiet and relaxing surroundings

By Ray on 25-May-2024

Lovely accommodation in quiet and relaxing surroundings. Pleasant host in Melanie who responds quickly to queries. Great to be able to interact with the inquisitive cows in the field adjacent to the property and the cats are friendly too. A fantastic base from which to explore west Cornwall, with St. Ives, Land's End and Penzance all within easy reach by car. This was our second visit to the Bank Barn and it still has the wow factor with the only minor niggle being the toilet seats, which were a bit wobbly and could maybe do with adjusting or replacing. We would definitely recommend the Barn Barn as a great place to stay.
