There’s a courtyard garden, easy roadside parking and it’s just a 4 minute walk to shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes on historic Main Street.

Mulberry Cottage has had a varied past dating back to 1850. It started out life as a millworkers cottage. It was extended and converted into a shop, operating as an off-licence and a sweet shop in years gone by.

During the 21st century, it was converted back to the cottage it is now.

A recent addition to the lounge is a rare antique grandfather clock made by John Barraclough of Haworth, clockmaker to the Brontë’s.

** Kitchen / Diner:

With an elevated view over the garden, the kitchen is recently fitted in a traditional cottage shaker style. It is well-equipped with a dishwasher, washer-dryer, microwave, retro fridge-freezer, kettle, toaster and all the cooking equipment needed for your stay. It has a fully restored Yorkshire Stone flagged floor and a large dining table with seating for four. There is a radio and USB charging point for your phones and devices.

** Rear Bedroom:

With a view over the garden and to the hills. A beautiful king-size sleigh bed and cast iron decorative fireplace make this a luxurious room with an elegant Victorian feel. Original features are prominent in this room with an exposed stone wall and lintel. The room also has lots of storage with a wardrobe and a large chest of drawers.

** Front Bedroom:

A bright room with a sumptuous super king bed which is a zip-n-link and can be split into two singles, if requested. The room also has plenty of storage with a large wardrobe with drawers underneath.

** Bathroom:

The bathroom gives an opulent feel with a Victorian-style roll-top bath, vintage-style fittings and a separate shower. The original exposed stone wall and stone lintel give character to the room. It is a perfect place to relax and unwind after a day exploring the beautiful Yorkshire countryside.

The private cottage garden is accessed by steep stone steps with a handrail. With a living willow fence, it is a lovely enclosed space with a view of the hills at the side. Rattan furniture with seating for four and a rotary dryer, which folds away discretely. A wonderful area to have a cup of tea or a glass of wine and listen to the birds sing and the distant steam trains in the valley.

Mulberry Cottage Review

By Elizabeth D on 14-Mar-2024

This treasure of a cottage is located in the centre of Haworth, only five minutes walk away from the main cobbled road which hosts a variety of artisan shops, cafes and restaurants. The cottage is both practical and luxurious providing a comfortable lounge, fully modernised kitchen and bathroom and two luxurious, spacious bedrooms offering generous central heating. The photographs of the interior fully met our expectations and proved to be accurate and realistic. Mulberry Cottage was the chosen location for our walking holiday and also our second visit. We would happily book again in the future and I cannot recommend Mulberry Cottage highly enough.

Tinsel Break

By Derek V on 15-Dec-2023

Had a wonderful time at Mulberry cottage warm, comfortable, clean and well equipped. Log burner a nice bonus, great hosts very helpful, close to the Main Street. Hope to return in the Spring. Haworth an absolute delight.

An amazing, cozy cottage with all the amenities!

By Janet P on 12-Oct-2023

Such a wonderful cottage. My husband and I spent 2 weeks at the cottage and this sweet place had everything we needed, within walking distance to many great restaurants and shops! We drove with great ease from the cottage to Ripon, York, Thirsk and throughout the Yorkshire Dales. Haworth is convenient to everything. Julie was an amazing host, so thoughtful and quick in communication. We hope to return someday. Priceless memories of an amazing cottage.

Just Perfect!

By Suzanne C on 19-Jun-2023

This was our Third stay at Mulberry Cottage and we are already planning a fourth! The Cottage itself is just lovely, cosy in the winter, with its log burner, we have had the last two visits in December, and our last visit in June, was just glorious, we were so lucky with the weather, wall to wall sunshine every day. The little courtyard garden with seating enabled us to relax at the end of the day with a Pimms! . The cottage is spotlessly clean and has everything to hand that you would need. Julie is a fantastic host and is very approachable and communicative. The location is also ideal, with Haworth’s cobbled Main Street being just a walk away where it has the Brontës Parsonage, little independent shops, tearooms, cafes and numerous pubs. There is so much to see further afield too. On this visit went to Hebden Bridge, where the TV Series Happy Valley is filmed, we visited Oakworth Train Station, famous for the Railway Children’ location and also went for a ride on the lovely Steam Train. We would also highly recommend a visit for Afternoon Tea at Betty’s Tea Rooms in either Harrogate or Ilkley, it’s just lovely there. We love both the cottage and the location and can’t recommend it highly enough. The perfect place to relax and unwind. We’ll be back!

High quality self catering cottage

By Justin C on 31-Mar-2023

My husband and I recently stayed in this beautiful self catering cottage. It is in a quiet street within walking distance of the historic main street in Haworth. There was plenty of local walking. The circular walk at the National Trust Bolton Abbey was a favourite - about 30 minutes drive away. The standard of the accommodation was excellent and I don''t think we have ever stayed at a cottage that was so clean and well presented for our arrival. Everything we needed/could have needed was provided. Self check-in was easy and complimentary biscuits, Prosecco and wood , for the lounge wood-burner, made it feel more like a hotel! Parking was always available either outside the cottage or a short walk further up the street. There is a local Co-op supermarket within walking distance down the hill. The owner Julie was very easy to communicate with and was able to answer any questions we had. Owing to the heavy snow in the days prior to our arrival, Julie even suggested we could arrive a day early if it made the travel easier, as the cottage happened to be available then. Although we didn''t take her up on this, we very much appreciated the offer. I would definitely highly recommend this cottage!

Cosy cottage

By Fliss v on 17-Feb-2023

This was a really clean, cosy cottage. Most comfortable bed I''ve ever had away from home!! We particularly enjoyed the woodburner in the evenings. The kids loved the local playground and being able to walk to the steam railway/watch the trains go past. Would definitely recommend the cottage to others.
