Description

The Chalet 2, The Woodlands is ideally located for a relaxing self-catering holiday in West Wales. It is in a quiet holiday park, The Woodlands, close to the border of the Pembrokeshire National Park and within easy reach of the coast. There are countryside walks from the park entrance and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Footpath, as well as beautiful beaches like Newgale, are only a few miles away. The two-bedroom chalet comfortably sleeps up to four guests in two double bedrooms with a sofa-bed in the living room that opens up to sleep one more person, so it is perfect for couples, families or friends.

Pembrokeshire is a beautiful part of Britain with stunning beaches and lush countryside. Newgale Beach is a particular favourite with surfers for its consistently good break, but with three miles of sand, there is always a quiet spot for sun-lovers to stretch out and snooze, for a rousing game of beach cricket, or for a family challenge to build the most impressive sandcastle. Other nearby beaches include Nolton Haven, Broad Haven, and Solva, which has a lovely harbour and a great choice of places to shop, eat and drink.

Britain's smallest city, St Davids, is about nine miles away and easily accessible by car. It has a lively community of artists and a wealth of independent shops and galleries to browse as well as its magnificent cathedral and the nearby ruins of the Bishop's Palace.

West Wales is packed with fun days out from exploring Pembroke and its ancient castle to admiring the animals at Folly Farm. There are fantastic walks, exciting cycling trails and miles of footpaths traversing the coast and countryside. The scenery never disappoints, regardless of the season or the weather, and staying at Chalet 2 The Woodlands means you are perfectly located to easily access it all.

Lovley quiet site close to the beach (10min car journey). Site very quiet - mostly parents/grand parents and kids. Easy to find and good location

summer 2022 great place to stay

We had a really good stay at John’s Pembrokeshire chalet. The chalet was really clean and was well equipped. Comfortable beds, a great TV with built in Freeview, good hot water and shower. The chalet lies in a beautifully kept quiet location and even though it was busy with lots of families and couples staying on the site, as we stayed during prime holiday time, it was always tranquil. John’s communication was excellent and he couldn’t have been more helpful and personable. The beaches and walks he recommended nearby were stunning. Really convenient for Newgale beach and other beaches. We will definitely return as we were sorry that we hadn’t planned to stay longer! In summary excellent functional place to stay offered at a sensible rate.

Everything was as described. The site location is off the beaten track, ideal for these who are after some peace & quiet. The beds were comfortable & the neighbours quiet (apart from the feathered ones)! If you can''t manage without the Internet you may have to plan ahead. I have a mobile WiFi router which provided us with connectivity including streaming tv. It picked up a 3g signal from Three, which was sufficient for the two of us. There was everything we needed otherwise. It''s in an ideal location to explore the St David''s area. We explored from Fishguard down to Tenby. St David''s, Pembroke & Tenby were the highlights although there''s many more smaller places to explore also.

The communication from the host was wonderful, they detailed everything we needed to know. The chalet was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. We spent a few days at the near by beach that is beautiful and had plenty of food places and facilities. Love this place it’s so beautiful and relaxing.
