Description
.Popular with guests since 2013, Park House is a grade II listed, characterful dog-friendly property, in the picturesque conservation village of Harlaxton near Grantham in Lincolnshire, on the Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire borders. It's an ideal setting for a short break or holiday with family and friends, with easy access from the A1, The Gregory Arms pub in Harlaxton, a village shop, lovely walks from the doorstep in the wider grounds of Harlaxton Manor and along Grantham Canal, plus all the amenities of a market town just 3 miles away.Accommodating up to 8 adults/children plus 2 infants, there are 4 bedrooms in total including one downstairs which can be a superking or a twin. Three further bedrooms upstairs can all be kings or one room can be a twin. Two dogs are welcome and free. For a bit of fun for kids (and sometimes adults too on request) we organise a 'Be a Park House Pirate' treasure hunt on arrival so they can explore their holiday home.
There’s a spacious lounge with plenty of sofa seating, smart TV, DVD player and open fire, a dining area alongside and table to seat 8, large, enclosed cottage garden with seating and BBQ, a well-equipped kitchen, a separate snug with log burner and TV/DvD/Firestick, two shower (electric) rooms (one upstairs and one downstairs) and a bathroom with a roll top bath.
Guests can enjoy visiting Belvoir Castle (seasonal opening), Belton House (National Trust) with its adventure playground, and Isaac Newton’s Woolsthorpe Manor (National Trust), and explore the local market towns of Melton Mowbray (including the Twin Lakes Family Theme Park), Newark, Stamford and Grantham which offers supermarkets, cafes and restaurants, a leisure centre with swimming pools, The Savoy multi-screen cinema, Grantham Bowl ten pin bowling alley, Jump Revolution trampoline park and Fun Farm indoor soft play centre. Plus, all within an hour's drive, historic Lincoln and its cathedral, castle and Magna Carta exhibition, vibrant Nottingham and its National Ice Centre, and Leicester, including the National Space Centre and the King Richard lll Visitor Centre. Cycling, walking and plenty of golf courses available locally. Fishing available, 4 miles.

Snug: With wood burner and TV/DVD/Firestick.
Kitchen: With electric double oven, electric hob, microwave, dishwasher, beams and tiled floor.
Utility room: With washing machine, chest freezer.
Bedroom 1: With zip and link super kingsize bed (can be twin beds on request).
Shower room 1: With shower cubicle, basin and toilet.
First Floor:
Bedroom 2: With kingsize bed and full size cot
Bedroom 3: With kingsize bed.
Bedroom 4: With zip and link kingsize bed (can be 2ft 6in twin beds on request).
Shower room 2: With shower cubicle, basin and toilet.
Bathroom: With roll top bath and basin (no toilet).
Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included plus a basket of logs for the open fire/log burner. Cot, travel cot, 2 highchairs and stairgate available. Welcome items provided as well as tea, coffee, sugar etc. Large garden with patio, garden furniture and barbecue. Bike store. Private parking for up to 6 cars. No smoking. Please note that we request a security/good housekeeping deposit of £100. Sorry, no hen or stag parties.

Our winter weekly price starts from £759, with a summer weekly price of up to £1745. Short breaks are available for most weeks, minimum 2 nights. 20% deposit on confirmation of a booking with the balance payable 6 weeks before arrival day.

Lovely, friendly and helpful hosts Nikki and Nigel ensured we had a smooth stay and from the off quick and responsive to any questions we had. Would highly recommend and definitely go back.

Lots of local information and hosts always responded promptly to queries. Lovely part of the world. Very friendly locals.
