We hope that you treat it as a home from home. As a family run business, we try to welcome you on arrival and respect your privacy, so we we will be inconspicuous during your stay, however we are only a phone call away if you need help or have any questions!

The Shire Stables is a detached property which was renovated, a few years ago and into a luxury 4-bedroom, 4 bathroom barn. Once the stables for the Shire horses that worked the farmland, this barn has been rebuilt into a fantastically light, bright space where high ceilings, original beams and the brick fireplace meet feature lighting, marble and quality fittings. And if that isn’t enough, take a dip in the hot tub overlooking the fields and enjoy the tranquillity and star gazing at night.

Surrounded by nature, with its own private garden and hot tub, you can’t help but relax and breathe in the fresh country air when staying at this stunning property. Designed to accommodate between 8 to 11 guests (with 3 fold away beds in bedrooms), the Shire Stables has a spacious open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen, plus 4 bedrooms, 3 en-suites and a separate bathroom. Babies using a travel cot, which we can provide, are not included in the guest numbers. We also have high chairs on request.

A large wheelbarrow of logs is supplied for the wood-burner in cooler months, but there is also central heating.

Parking - There is off road parking on the driveway for 4 to 5 cars. We now have an electric car charging point conveniently situated on the driveway, which is accessible through an app. Please request this when booking so that it can be set up for you.

RENTAL RATES: Please see our website Discounts available for stays longer than 3 nights, with the exception of Christmas, which is a minimum 4 night stay.
Rental rates are for 8 guests. Additional guests on fold away or sofa beds are a one off additional fee of between £100 and £120 per person for 3 nights/weekend. Bedding, linen, bath sheets, hand towels, hot tub towels and bath robes are included in these prices.

Check In and Check Out – Check in is from 3pm. Check out 10.30 am. Minimum 3 night booking. Or long weekend from 11am on Friday to 4pm on Sunday (charged at 3 night rate). Discounts for bookings for 5 nights or more. Please enquire.

Activities – Fancy some activities at the barn? We can organise a cocktail making masterclass, drag bingo, private chef, beauty treatments, waiters in the buff, karaoke machine and more.. Or fancy a trip out, then a local farm with goat petting, alpaca trekking and goat Pilates!

Pets – This is a pet free barn, however we accept pets in the Hay Barn, Barley Barn and Cart Lodge, where we can also help with dog sitting and walking.

Please note that a damage deposit is required on the day of arrival and is refunded on the day of departure.
