This was a perfect place to enjoy all that the Langdales has to offer. Great views, beautiful location, lovely cottage. What we particularly like was our hosts took the time to have a few supplies on hand, and also curated some very cool walks, maps, guidance and recommendations. Super helpful and easy to navigate . They really set you up to get the most out of the stay ! We can’t think of anything we would change.
Loved the house and location. Exactly as described and perfect as a base to explore the Lakes
A lovely clean, warm and cosy place to stay as a family of four (with 2 teenage daughters). Plenty of walks straight from the front door and lovely eating establishments also within walking distance. I wouldn’t say it’s ideal for dogs, as there’s no garden, but we enjoyed having our chocolate Labrador with us & she was quite happy with an extra wee walk to go toilet Lovely location, with stunning views right from the window. This property had everything we wanted for a fabulous family holiday and we would love to come back again
Fabulous little cottage. Modern, cozy, spotlessly clean. The kitchen was exceptionally equipped: Great selection of crockery, including bowls suitable for pasta, soups. Different size cups/mugs for tea and coffee. Nice selection of pans etc. Walking distance to a Coop shop (closes at 5pm) and The Wainwright Inn. And nice little balcony with afternoon sun. Great location and guest passes to the Langdale leisure facility were brilliant. We used their 20m pool and gym. One parking space right outside the front door. A well-thought out, and presented folder of all the info one might need, including loads of great local info on walks. With maps. Simon and Belinda were super responsive. Highly recommend!
We had a fantastic stay at fountains cottage. It was so cosy, great location, spotlessly clean and the hosts Simon and Belinda were great and very responsive. Would 100% recommend.
My wife and I spent 3 wonderful nights here with our son who was over from Vancouver for two weeks. This is a fabulous, cosy and well-appointed cottage and a great base for walking from. Many really useful walks and guide books available in the cottage. The communication with the hosts was spot on and we will be back.
