Mas de la Tourette is a traditional French farmhouse originally constructed in the 1860’s. The house is situated close to the small hamlet of Boisset et Gaujac, in the region of Languedoc et Roussillon, and is approximately 60 kilometres from Montpellier, 35 kilometres from Nimes, 10 kilometres from Ales and close to the historic market town of Anduze, ‘ La Porte des Cevennes ‘. The house is easily reached by road, by rail to Avignon and Nimes and by air to Montpellier and Nimes.
The south facing Mas, designed to accommodate eight people, has recently been completely renovated, and the main part of the house consists of four double bedrooms, and three bathrooms (two on the first floor and a shower room on the ground floor). The main bedroom has access to a large balcony with extensive views over the open countryside. One of the other bedrooms has an interesting mezzanine floor. The house also has a large kitchen and dining area, utility room, and a sitting room with inglenook fireplace. The kitchen and utility room are fully equipped with a gas range, washing machine and dishwater. In addition the house has new beds, linen, towels and crockery.
Outside the grounds extend to four acres largely set to olive trees, vines and terraces. The property has two wells (access is securely padlocked), a large swimming pool (13 x 5metres) with a pool house which is an open structure covered in traditional terracotta tiles and has seating for eight people. The pool is situated in an elevated position on a terrace with spectacular views over the open countryside. Close by there is a further barn with shower, kitchen and changing facilities. The garden next to the house is a secluded courtyard and is shaded by mature trees. There is also a gas barbeque area situated at the rear entrance to the main house. There is ample shaded car parking which is accessed through locked gates.
