Description

House in Stronchreggan, Treslaig, Nr. Fort William, Scotland - A Single Storey House, Sleeping 6, With Tranquil And Stunning Views Of Ben Nevis And Loch Linnhe
Dalendrien is a single storey house, sleeping 6, stunningly positioned on its own peninsula on the shoreline of Loch Linnhe. a long sea inlet running from the Isle of Mull inland to the slopes of Ben Nevis, and sits on the quiet north shore of the loch just off the scenic road which runs from Fort William to the remote Ardnamurchan Peninsula. It nestles in three acres of grounds with shoreline and slipway, some 25 miles from Fort William and 8 miles north of the Corran Ferry at Ardgour. The house has deceptively spacious rooms which have magnificent views looking over the loch to the mountains of Glen Coe and Ben Nevis itself. The house is comfortably furnished with loch and mountain views from most rooms. The accommodation consists of 2 double bedrooms, 1 twin bedroom with wash basin, (a cot and extra folding bed for a child are available), spacious living/dining room with open fire, conservatory, and a large kitchen that is very well equipped.

Three weeks of staying in your beautiful place

By Debbie Scott on 23-Apr-2022

What can I say, three weeks of staying in your beautiful place known as ''Dalendrien ''. We had an amazing time, the view of the loch and Ben Nevis and your stunning bungalow. I can say this is the first holiday where we have been happy to stay at base for the entire day and we did this quite alot during our stay. The bungalow is just perfect and the grounds around as well and having the shoreline is a bonus. I even loved the front as you come down the drive and get pass the wooden gate and see the loch from the side of the bungalow and the trees, with the wildlife as well, just amazing. Thanks for being the perfect host and for letting us stay at your family home. If you could add to the visitors book as did not add comments whilst we was staying as did not want to leave. With kind regards Debbie

Another wonderful stay

By Rachel Reilly on 21-Aug-2022

Just wanted to say a huge thank you for another wonderful stay at Dalendrien. As usual, the house provided everything we needed at the highest standard. The cooler Scottish weather was a welcome relief from the oppressive heat in the South. We did get a good deal of sunshine though - and as my mother, Mollie, has always said “rain in Scotland just makes the waterfalls better”. And it did! Mollie has thoroughly enjoyed the copious photos of our stay. Wildlife around the house was varied and prevalent: multiple birds including blue tits, chaffinches, doves, heron, greater spotted woodpecker (Stephen identified that one) and of course, the nightly activity of the owls. The deer entranced us all, as did the grazing sheep. We even had a visit from a seal swimming close to the beach. The red squirrel was seen often. We look forward to booking again - we are checking diaries and will be in touch to see what your availability is. Some of us are keen to experience the even cooler weather in Scotland! Thank you again from all of us With very best wishes Rachel

Wonderful cottage in a wonderful location

By Chris Wood on 14-Jul-2022

We all had a fantastic week in this wonderful cottage which was just perfect for us all, We could go fishing from the bottom of the garden, while watching Eagles over the mountains behind the cottage, deer, red squirrels and even a pine Martin in the garden, superb views from all of the windows and very easy to book and all the information given to us by Nikki beforehand, she even sent us a brochure pack before our stay with all the local information on, she also kept in contact before and during our stay to make sure all was OK, Thanks again Nikki.
