Dairy Cottage is a luxury refurbished cosy one bedroom cottage that has been converted from an old dairy, sleeping two adults plus a small child. This lovely rustic cottage is equipped to a high standard, oozing charm and comfort and offering a wood burner for the winter months. An ideal romantic retreat in the countryside with easy access to forest walks, beautiful beaches and quaint local towns and villages.
Layout
From the entrance porch, which has a log and boot store, a door takes you to the hallway with one step taking you up to a wooden floored open plan kitchen/diner/living room with full sized cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, ample kitchen units, television/DVD.
Also leading from the hallway is a door leading to a generous sized light bedroom with a lovely hand painted kingsize bed and ensuite shower room plus a walk in wardrobe. We can also add a cot if required or a small futon to sleep a child. Also provided is a television/DVD, iPod dock, WiFi access and linen and towels. A washing machine and tumble drier are available.
Outside is a delightful enclosed patio area for dining al-fresco or enjoying the views over neighbouring farmland.
Local Area
From the cottage you can cycle or walk a short distance into the forestry tracks. We have plenty of storage for your bikes. If you wish to bring your boat to take to the coast, we can store this securely for you. Pets are allowed providing they do not go into the bedroom or on the furniture.
At the bottom of the road, we have the local convenience store with post office and the village pub.
Location
Situated on the edge of the New Forest, located on the boundary of Dorset and Hampshire, close to the River Avon. Ideally situated to explore Ringwood Forest on our doorstep, and a short drive can take you to the New Forest National Park famous for its free roaming ponies, donkeys, cattle and pigs in the autumn, Moors Valley Country Park, the local quaint town of Fordingbridge, delightful Wimborne Minster or the local market town of Ringwood. All offering excellent pubs/restaurants and coffee houses.
Bournemouth coast’s spectacular beaches are an easy 25 minute drive, the Jurassic coast is within easy reach and the ancient city of Salisbury with its beautiful cathedral is well worth a visit.
