Hi Mary I just wanted to say what a lovely holiday we had at Park Cottage. We were delighted by the cottage and the peace and quiet of the location. It is so refreshing to find holiday accommodation that is cosy, comfortable and homely. We spent lots of time playing badminton in the garden with the children and enjoying the outdoor space. It was a true tonic!
Rob, Philippa & Mya October 8th - 15th October 2021 For us Park Cottage was the ideal place to spend a week exploring the North Devon coast and Exmoor. We loved its location, so peaceful and private, with a large rear garden for Mya to enjoy. It was perfect. Its retro charm made us feel immediately at home. The cottage was warm, clean and tidy and had everything we could possibly need for our holiday. We give it 5 stars.

We must have stayed here more than a dozen times. In fact tempted to give it a rotten review just to keep it to ourselves. As the description says, it’s not “posh” but it is our perfect family UK Summer holiday, away from anyone else but handy for all we want. Exmoor and nearby beaches, coffee shops etc are our idea of heaven while the 45 min drive to Putsborough and Croyde have given our teenage kids a love for surfing – our son bought his own surfboard which we transport from Liverpool to Devon each year (not too much need for it at home!). Beautiful rural escape Our family of four love this beautiful, traditional escape from the whirlwind of city life. The cottage is surrounded by countryside, and the children loved playing in the tiny stream and the garden is big enough for a huge variety of garden games. Bring a ball and have hours of fun! This corner of Devon is full of delights and we have returned four, and are planning another visit at the end of the summer. The beaches are beautiful, and there is plenty of entertainment for the children if the weather is bad (the big sheep and the zoo are both great). The cottage is in a perfect location to access walks and the countryside, and the sky at night is simply breath-taking. The garden is full of birds of every description and the whole world seems to slow down the minute you walk through the gate. The cottage is clean and tidy, and has everything you need (although no dishwasher, it is a go slow stay!) full of character and well maintained. I would recommend this to all my family and friends for a wonderful rural retreat.
Thank you for the experience at Park Cottage. It was an ideal base to explore. We spent Xmas eve at Lynemouth which was perfect and visited Baggy Point and Croyde Bay, Northam Burrows and Bideford.
