Great place great location and superb host who was very responsive
A very comfortable and cosy little cottage. Ideal for a couple of 4 people. Elterwater is a great base to explore the local area too.
We had a wonderful time at Alun’s. Stunning location with a breath taking view of the mountains right outside the front door. The place was clean and cosy. The fireplace was a great touch. The beds were clean and good quality pillows and sheets. Would recommend it to anyone who wants an escape from the busy and bussle!
We had a wonderful stay in Alun’s cottage. It was absolutely spotless and was just what we needed. I would say the pictures on the listing don’t do it justice it was lovely and warm and cosy! The surroundings are just beautiful and it was a perfect location for getting around the Lake District to all of the key locations. Plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby in Ambleside too. Thank you Alun, we’ll hopefully be back next year!
Had a fantastic trip to Aluns place in Elterwater. The house was perfect- as described and really clean. The location is perfect with a great pub and cafe within a minutes walk, lots of lower level walks as well as access to some of the higher ones too. Would definitely recommend
Great little cottage. Loads of walks from the doorstep. Comfortable beds. Walkable to many lovely eateries including The Three Shires and Lanty Slee's. Very responsive host, the dishwasher broke down but it was replaced extremely quickly.
