Description
Mill Haven is situated on a quiet road just outside the village, away from the busy main coast road. It offers a peaceful setting while still being close to the beach, which is just a 5-10 minute walk away.
Inside the house, the front door opens into a welcoming hallway. The spacious living room is bright and filled with natural light, thanks to its large windows at the front and side, which offer views of the surrounding greenery. There’s also a reading corner with a comfortable chair, making this a perfect spot to relax.
Upstairs, the first floor houses two bedrooms and a bathroom. The large windows continue to provide excellent natural light throughout the upstairs, with the landing benefiting from a large feature window overlooking the surrounding areas.
The light-filled spaces, comfortable layout, and convenient location make this property an ideal base for families, couples, or walkers looking to explore the Norfolk coast.
The Runtons are part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), making it popular with bird watchers and walkers. From the house, you can easily walk into Cromer, which is just 1.3 miles away. A right turn up Mill Lane, past the mill, leads to a path that follows the railway and crosses the countryside. Alternatively, you can walk down the lane into East Runton village, take the beach or coastal path toward Cromer Pier, which is visible from the beach access.
East Runton village has friendly pubs and that serves food, a chip shop, a butcher’s shop, and a convenience store open until 10 PM for essentials. The beach, a mix of sand and pebbles, has earned Blue Flag awards, and has public toilets and RNLI lifeguards on duty during the summer. Families enjoy the rock pools, while walkers explore the coastal paths.
Regular buses run along the coast road, connecting East Runton to places like Sheringham, Wells-next-the-Sea, Hunstanton, Overstrand, and Norwich. Cromer has a mainline train station with direct links to Norwich and London, making it easy to explore the wider area. This part of Norfolk is an excellent base for visiting National Trust properties, birdwatching spots, and beautiful beaches like Holkham, Wells-next-the-Sea, and Happisburgh.
