We visited Pechpugné Ouest in August for our summer holidays. Everything from the initial communication with the hosts to our actual stay was easy to arrange and very pleasant. Stephen and Natasha go out of their way to ensure that your stay is pleasant. They were always on hand to offer advice or help out, without being in the least bit intrusive on our stay. The property itself is charming. It's an old building but finished nicely. Upon our arrival, it was 35°C outside, but the inside of the gite was nice and cool. The children's first requirement was to head to the pool, which they duly did. The pool is brilliant! The views are stunning, and we had many an evening out on the patio area behind the gite, eating a meal and watching the sunset. In the evenings there was little in the way of noise pollution, the worst of it was an owl hooting down in the forest! There is plenty to do from a tourism point of view near the gite. Chateaux, charming villages, abbeys and the river are all in easy reach. If you're after a tranquil getaway, then this is the place for you. Charming property and hosts. Thanks again Stephen and Tasha. We hope to revisit at some point.
My stay at Pechpugne was exactly what I needed! The location is stunning with sweeping views across the valley and to the sunset. It is only 10 minutes to Le Bugue (and Lidl) whilst being hidden away in a tiny hamlet at the top of the hill. I even saw wild boar and deer. The pool area is amazing, as per the photos. The water was 30° C mid to late June. The gite itself was traditional and quirky. I liked that the bedroom windows had mosquito frames on. The kitchen was well equipped and it was lovely to be able to sit outside for breakfast. Stephen was very helpful and knowledgeable regarding any questions we had about the local area and where to eat or visit. Overall, a wonderful stay and I very much hope to return sometime.

hank you , we greatly enjoyed meeting you.
We had a lovely 2 week stay here. The gite had everything we needed and was in such pretty surroundings. The pool was spotlessly clean with incredible views over the valley. Sunsets were very special. The owners were very friendly and hospitable and gave us lots of local knowledge regarding places to visit, etc. Very easy to hire canoes/kayaks from Le Bugue. Would love to return to Pechpugne again before too long.

Thank you so much, we ourselves love Pechpugne and were so pleased to share it with you both.
A delightful place to stay. Well appointed and ideally placed for the Dordogne and Vezere valleys. Stephen was unobtrusively helpful yet a convivial host! However my abiding memory was hanging the washing out! Having to avoid cowslips and early purple orchids in the meadow, surrounded by cherry blossom and serenaded by a cuckoo and woodpecker. Glorious!

Thank you both for a delightful review. . Truely catches the essence of Pechpugne.
It was so good the first time, we needed to return! It you need peace and to be away from everything, this the perfect place with everything you need! It’s so quiet at night you can hear the walnuts fall from the tree and roll down the roof! The sky at night is so clear, we have never seen so many bright shooting stars. Sunsets and sunrises that a breathtaking. A perfect place to really escape! We love the pool and it’s amazing views! Really spoilt with this. The house is not far from the supermarkets by car and it’s great to explore the other areas, there is kayaking and lovely little villages to explore. We love kayaking so made sure we did a couple of trips this year. If you like to run, there is a great little route…although mostly up hill!! We all love it here, our children are 9 & 11, they loved the pool and running around.
We absolutely fell in love with Stephen and Natasha's beautiful property Pechpugne... The owners were back in the UK so we had the entire property to ourselves. Up in the hills with views to die for from the gorgeous swimming pool, a short drive down to the river where you could Kayak and Paddle Board on the Dordogne. A few minutes drive from the lovey village of Cadouin. 15 mins from supermarkets. It is based in a fantastic location. Super quiet enabling us to enjoy a relaxing holiday. It delivered everything we hoped for and more and we hope to return ASAP. Thank you Stephen and Natasha.
