5 Thurlestone Rock5 Thurlestone Rock is a beautiful spacious top floor apartment with stunning sea views across the beach at South Milton Sands towards Thurlestone with an incredible view of the infamous Thurlestone Rock. Salcombe is a short drive away, as is Thurlestone & Bigbury on Sea. With 3 big bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a heated swimming pool - what's not to love! The sandy beach is literally on your doorstep ready for a refreshing swim followed by delicious food from the nearby Beach House cafe.
The area is a paradise for walkers with the South Devon footpath running alongside the apartment block. For golfers there are the testing links courses of Thurlestone and Bigbury close by. And right of the door step is the infamous Beach House where you can get fresh food daily. The nearby town of Salcombe is a must for shopping, eating and of course, its ice cream!
Located literally on the beach (well almost) is this wonderful light, bright and extremely spacious apartment. The iconic Thurlestone Rock and the infamous Burgh Island act as a stunning backdrop whilst relaxing on the balcony. The adjacent coastal path offers wonderful walks to the nearby villages of Thurlestone and Hope Cove. From the rear of the apartment you also have wonderful rural views of unspoilt farmland. Situated on the top floor, (up 2 short, wide flights of stairs) apartment 5 has 3 spacious bedrooms, large, dual aspect living/dining room; fully fitted kitchen and 2 bathrooms. When you first enter the apartment, the immediate feeling you get is one of so much space! You enter into a large bright and airy hallway with doors leading off to all the other spacious rooms in this lovely apartment. The living room is comfortably furnished with 2 sofas, television and DVD player, dining table with seating for 6. This is a dual aspect room with views over the outdoor swimming pool and doors leading out on to the balcony from which you can enjoy wide ocean views. Bedroom one, the master, has a king size bed, pine furniture and an ensuite bathroom. Bedroom two has two single beds, again fitted out with pine furniture. Bedroom three has two smaller single beds that can be joined together to create a king size double. The kitchen is equipped with electric double oven, gas hob, extractor, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. There is also a separate utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, sink and additional fridge. Outside is the heated pool, open from May until October, large patio areas with barbecue facilities and lower sun deck. There is also a poolside hut.

We really enjoyed our stay at Thurlestone.
By Jennifer on 07-Apr-2025We really enjoyed our stay at Thurlestone. The apartment was ideally located on the beach making it easy for easy beach fun for the kids. They went rockpooling, swimming and made sandcastles every day . We enjoyed views of the sunset while having dinner and drinks on the balcony. The flat was bright and spacious. We felt safe and had a comfortable stay with everything that a family of five would need. Our host was responsive, accommodating and friendly. We would stay again in a heartbeat.
Fantastic place to stay
By Jennie on 01-Jul-2025Fantastic place to stay if you love the sound of the sea and ocean views. Right on the coastal path and easy walks to local pubs and restaurants in Hope Cove and Thurlestone. Perfect for enjoying beach activities and also relaxing in the heated pool. Would definitely go again.
