Here now for the bank holiday weekend x Such lovely cosy comfy pods we stayed in Deer pod x Lovely views and quiet peaceful site All amenities you could need Even provide you with wash sponges and liquid and tea towel Milk tea coffee and biscuits on arrival and a doggy bowl towel and treats - also with outdoor attachable leash to side of pod for when you are in the hot tub x Lovely owners on arrival for check in but then leave you unless you need anything We had some lovely visits in area to bassenthwaite loweswater Dodd woods caldbeck and Dalston villages Loved our stay and highly recommend xx thankyou xx
An excellent site, with high-quality accommodation and facilities. Karen and Andrew, who run the site, are both incredibly accommodating and helpful. The site is an excellent base from which to explore the lakes, or to go on local walks. This is our second visit, and we will definitely be back. Some of the pods are also dog friendly!
We had such a lovely couple of nights at Thornfield Camping Cabins to celebrate our 4-year anniversary. Andrew and Karen were fantastic hosts and the cabins were immaculate, cosy and everything we needed. Andrew was so helpful in showing us how to operate the hot tub and took us to look around the other cabins when we mentioned wanting to book again with more people. We can’t wait to book again!
Brilliant location pods were spotless clean and the guy who looked after us was brilliant while the owners were on holiday. Hot tub great all at temp on arrival all in all relaxing and value for money
Excellent stay. Andrew & Karen are lovely hosts and very accommodating and extremely helpful. The location is great for all the Lakes. Good pub with nice food (Bridge End Inn) only 20 minute walk away. Co-op in Dalston. Everything available on site (Gas bbq, hot tub & fire pit). Love the free range chickens. Andrew & Karen made Ernie (pug) very welcome. All the staff were friendly and polite. Highly recommended to friends and can’t wait to stay again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Thornfield Camping Cabins. It''s a beautiful place, so quiet you can hear a pin drop. The pods are cozy and very clean with all the essentials. The outside area is also very well maintained and secure. We had a fire pit & bbq, sitting out in the evening.. it was brilliant and of course the hot tub it was amazing ..what a great way to relax! We would highly recommend Thornfield Camping Cabins
