Description
This cosy Edwardian home in the gorgeous village of Beckermet is the perfect base for exploring the Western Lake District.
The property is a 1911 Edwardian terrace with a cosy, modern feel. Downstairs you will find a comfortable living-dining room with a log burner, and a galley-style kitchen with a seating area overlooking the garden. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms and a spacious bathroom with a bath and a large shower. Outside there is a small but vibrant south-facing garden — a glorious suntrap in the summer.
Please note, there is no driveway but there will be plenty of on-street parking available.
In Beckermet, you are well situated to access many beauty spots in the Lake District National Park. Wast Water, Ennerdale Water and Loweswater are all around a 25-minute drive — each boasts stunning scenery, hiking and water activities. St Bees beach, the start of the popular Coast to Coast route, is only a 10-minute drive away — perfect for walking, swimming and bird watching (you might even spot a pod of dolphins). Beckermet itself is home to the popular White Mare pub, less than 200m away.
For those working in the area, the property is a wonderful home away from home, with high-speed internet. You will find yourself within easy access of Whitehaven, West Lakes Science Park and Sellafield.
