An amazing, holiday home. Comfortable, spacious, everything you need, lovely garden and decking area. Excellent location to explore the lakes and coast. There's always new places to discover. Always very welcoming, we are return guests and looking forward to next year's visit already. Tips for other travellers Aspava restaurant in cockermouth is lovely and do takeaways too. We discovered Loweswater this holiday. A quiet peaceful walk with less tourist. Free car park at Maggies bridge. Paths are buggy friendly, loads of places for a paddle, swim or picnic too. Only a short drive away.
The cottage is a true home away from home. The kitchen has everything needed and more. So cozy, we weren’t blessed with the best weather for our stay but that did not matter we were very comfortable inside. Lots of walks from the cottage. The beds are all really comfortable, we all slept well. Lesley and Roger were responsive to any questions. We will definitely return when we can. Tips for other travellers - The village has a lovely community pub which was highly recommended to us by one of the really friendly local residents.
So good we keep returning year after year.
Coldgill View is a great holiday home. It was easy to book using the online booking system. I liked the new system of an email before our stay, it made communication a bit more personal. Tips for other travellers - We have been visiting Coldgill View for a few years but we always discover new things to do and places to visit. The Punchbowl pub in the village is great. We were welcomed as if we were friends and chatted to some locals who were interested in where we had come from etc. Broughton Craggs Hotel did a lovely carvery with huge portions and friendly staff at a very reasonable price. We had a walk up to Soddy Gap, just outside the village.Lovely as the sun was setting. A walk up Latrigg. Easy ish walk and a great view of Keswick and Derwent Water from the top. Dove Cottage in Grasmere is worth a visit. We love St Bees beach too.
Excellent accommodation handy for the western lakes but also very quiet with wonderful views. Don't miss the community pub in the village, The Punchbowl, open at weekends......great beer and very friendly locals and very good value G & Ts !
Fabulous cottage with everything provided that you could need. Great location for the dogs with good walks from the door. Thoroughly recommend to others
