THIS IS THE 12th TIME WE HAVE STAYED AT TALLENTIRE HALL. NICE LOCATION & COTTAGE WELL EQUIPPED,CLEAN & WARM. ANN & MARTIN COULD NOT HAVE DONE MORE,GOOD HOSTS. WE WILL BE BACK.
Had a lovely first stay at Gardeners Cottage. The cottage is beautiful, spotlessly clean, cosy, and very well appointed with lovely views across the garden. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The digital downloadable guide received prior to my visit was extremely helpful. Well located for the Lake District and Cumbrian coast, both only a short drive away. This trip was only over a couple of days, far too short to fully appreciate and explore. I hope to return very soon, I can imagine how lovely the grounds will look through the different seasons. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Our third stay in Gardener''s Cottage and fully intend to return. Really feels like a home from home, clean, comfortable and with all necessary modern amenities, but in a lovely quirky old building set in beautiful grounds in which to see the glorious sunsets over the Solway Firth. Tallentire is a secluded, peaceful location, but only 10 minutes from Cockermouth and an excellent base for exploring the northern lakes, the Solway coast and surrounding areas. A super welcome pack is provided and the owners are very friendly and helpful.
