Description

Cobnut is a favourite with families and friends. This cottage boasts stunning views across the valley, our woodland and pond and also into the magnificent courtyard.

A spacious entrance via the veranda leads into the spacious living room area which has a beautiful solid elm floor, a large comfortable sofa and armchairs and open fire place. To the right of the entrance through a beautiful elm door is a small cloakroom with airing room, washing machine and downstairs toilet.

The dining area has wonderful views across the fields and valley, it has a large refectory table made of solid elm which seats up to 8. Adjacent to the dining area is the oak framed kitchen with granite work top and stainless steel fittings. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you'd ever need. Although more of a traditional layout than our other cottages the downstairs of Cobnut cottage still has an open plan aspect to it which adds to it's social charm.

The beautiful solid ash open tread staircase with oak paneling on the wall leads to the 2 en-suite bedrooms. The front room overlooks the courtyard and has an exquisite walk in power shower with an exposed stone wall, Venetian marble tiling and oak paneling with frosted glass. .The rear bedroom looks out across the boating and fishing pond and valley beyond and the en-suite bathroom accessed through frosted glass paneled doors also features Venetian marble tiling and a deep oak paneled bath with shower attachment.

Both of the bedrooms have ample storage, handmade hardwood beds which can be arranged either as 2 single beds or zip linked together to make super king-size doubles, they also feature solid oak floors. Cobnut cottage can be combined with Chestnut cottage to form a cottage for 6 via an internal door which leads from Cobnut verandah to Chestnut living room, through a Narnia inspired wardrobe!

All our cottages have superior craftsmanship and invoke a feeling of natural luxury. Together with our exacting standards and attention to detail we ensure that Chestnut offers guests a truly relaxing and pleasurable experience. All our cottages have outperformed their star ratings and been awarded gold by Visit England in recognition of exceptional quality, we have also been awarded Gold by Green Tourism for our environmental efforts.

We supply free firewood, spring water on tap, complimentary cake made here on the farm by Cotswold Baking, award winning locally produced granola and fresh cut flowers from our garden (when seasonally available). All cottages have picnic hampers, BBQ's, Smart TV's, soundbars, DAB Roberts radios and superfast WiFi. Set in 70 acres of beautiful woodland and meadows perfect for walks, Heath Farm has a magical charm and is the perfect place to relax, rejuvenate and recharge your soul. We also have a games lawn and games room for those who need to stay active!

We accept bookings starting on any day of the week except Sundays and bank holidays. Short stays available throughout the year but we always recommend a week as it's far better value and no-one has ever stated they stayed too long!
