Description

Chestnut is on the ground floor of an old converted barn. It's spacious and luxurious, perfect for two. The cottage now has it's own two tiered private garden with hot tub with roof situated outside the bedroom window. The cottage has a calm and tranquil atmosphere and also has direct access via hardwood French doors out on to the sun trapped terrace. In front of the French doors are two weaved armchairs perfect for relaxing in whilst reading a book and soaking up the sun's rays.

Access to Chestnut cottage and it's private garden is down a brick and terracotta tiled pathway and steps which leads to a small tiled outside area by the entrance with solid stone slab bench. The entrance of the cottage leads you into the solid oak kitchen which is very well equipped. You then pass through beautiful solid ash double doors set in a wooden screen and are greeted by the comfortable living and dining area. This sumptuous cottage boasts an unusual open fireplace, exposed joists and beams and African slate floor. The large sofa can be converted to a bed for additional use.

The bedroom is accessed through a curtained wooden archway, it has a king size bed with orthopedic mattress and Egyptian cotton bedding. The curved wooden window seat and reading table has a fantastic view of the private garden, pond and Cotswold valley beyond. The windows have internal wooden shutters which adds to the silent, secluded calmness you experience. The luxurious ensuite bathroom features oak paneling and African slate floor. It has a wonderful walk in shower. Guests feel deeply refreshed and restored after only a short time!

All our cottages have superior craftsmanship and invoke a feeling of natural luxury. Together with our exacting standards and attention to detail we ensure that Chestnut offers guests a truly relaxing and pleasurable experience. All our cottages have outperformed their star ratings and been awarded gold by Visit England in recognition of exceptional quality, we have also been awarded Gold by Green Tourism for our environmental efforts.

We supply free firewood, spring water on tap, complimentary cake made here on the farm by Cotswold Baking, locally produced award winning granola and fresh cut flowers from our garden (when seasonally available). All cottages have picnic hampers, BBQ's, Smart TV's, soundbars, DAB Roberts radios and superfast WiFi. Set in 70 acres of beautiful woodland and meadows perfect for walks, Heath Farm has a magical charm and is the perfect place to relax, rejuvenate and recharge your soul. We also have a games lawn and games room for those who need to stay active!

We accept bookings starting on any day of the week except Sundays and bank holidays. Short stays available throughout the year but we always recommend a week as it's far better value and no-one has ever stated they stayed too long!
