Description

Walnut cottage is without a doubt our most impressive of cottages. A spacious, luxurious and indulgent open plan cottage designed to impress the senses. Walnut cottage takes up the two top floors of an old converted barn and no expense was spared in the conversion. Now with it's own private garden with hot tub! Walnut cottage commands great views of both the stunning brick courtyard with water feature and on another there are expansive views of the Swere valley and part of our woodland a boating pond. Just before you walk up the green oak staircase that leads to the cottage there's a private garden with a weaved hazel fence which has it's own hot tub where you can relax whilst enjoying beautiful sunsets.

As you enter the cottage you'll appreciate the Welsh slate kitchen worktops, elm floorboards and solid oak units, the kitchen is fully equipped to a standard not usually seen in self catering cottages. As you walk through the oak double doors from the kitchen you can't help but be impressed by the expansive living and dining area. To the right is an impressive solid one piece elm table that can dine up to 10 whilst in front of you are three large sofas surround a high vaulted chimney breast towering up past the gallery bedrooms above. Large oak french windows in the gable end of the living area look down to the stunning courtyard below.
Just as impressive is the bathroom with it's Chinese slate floor, walk in shower and separate super deep enamel bathtub. It's a truly decadent bathroom ideal for relaxing and winding in.

A solid elm staircase takes you upstairs to the sleeping areas, first is the main bedroom which boasts a magnificent stone arched window giving glorious views down to the pond and across the picturesque valley from your super-king sized bed. The second sleeping area has twin beds and is accessed through the main bedroom and is separated by heavy curtains. Orthopaedic pocket sprung mattresses and Egyptian cotton linen ensures a great sleep.

All our cottages have superior craftsmanship and invoke a feeling of natural luxury. Together with our exacting standards and attention to detail we ensure that Walnut offers guests a truly relaxing and pleasurable experience. All our cottages have outperformed their star ratings and been awarded gold by Visit England in recognition of exceptional quality, we have also been awarded Gold by Green Tourism for our environmental efforts.

We supply free firewood, spring water on tap, complimentary cake made here on the farm by Cotswold Baking, award winning locally produced granola and fresh cut flowers from our garden (when seasonally available). All cottages have Picnic hampers, BBQ's, Smart TV's, soundbars, DAB Roberts radios and superfast WiFi. Set in 70 acres of beautiful woodland and meadows perfect for walks, Heath Farm has a magical charm and is the perfect place to relax, rejuvenate and recharge your soul. We also have a games lawn and games room for those who need to stay active!

We accept bookings starting on any day of the week except Sundays and bank holidays. Short stays available throughout the year but we always recommend a week as it's far better value and no-one has ever stated they stayed too long!
