Description

The Chrysalis is a modern, comfortable open-plan 1-bed cottage set in 3 acre gardens. It sleeps 2 people in the light and airy first floor bedroom, with the option of accommodating a further two people on the sofabed within the living area*. There is good WiFi connection and a smart TV. The large lawned area and field is perfect for exercising your dog or playing ball games and there are a number of outdoor seating areas available for your use. Also we have plenty of on-site parking and a drying room and storage for motorcyclists, cyclists and walkers.
Adjacent to the cottage is the Beehive, a larger property which can sleep 8. Both properties can be booked if you have a large party to accommodate. We also have the Aviary available P218155 (sleeps 9) which is situated within the grounds.
Perfectly situated for visiting the many local attractions: Eden Project, Cothele House and Quay, the beautiful Tamar Valley, Morwelham Quay, Trethorne Leisure Park, St Mellion golf course and health club, Adrenalin Quarry to name but a few! If you wish to book fewer than 7 nights, this can usually be arranged, please do ask. Usually we operate a Saturday changeover but during low season we have more flexibility, so please ask. Pets are £45 p/w each.
We request a refundable damages/cleaning deposit of £150. We cannot accept card payments, only bank transfer/cheque.
There are 2 EV charging points on site.
* Please note, the Chrysalis is not a large property and possibly four adults may find it a little too cosy! Having said that, we have had many families happily staying there.

A lovely compact cottage which has everything you’d need. I had a very comfortable stay.

Would certainly stay again

By bluebear63 on 06-Jun-2021

Stayed in the Chrysalis Cottage for 2 weeks (15/05 - 30/05/2021) and while the weather wasn't great during our stay the accommodation more than compensated. The cottage is really well furnished, tastefully decorated with a modern kitchen and bathroom and (more than) comfortable bedroom area. For 2 adults and small dog it was ideal, and can actually accommodate 4. Had the weather been better, outside there is ample seated area, firepit and the general grounds of Butterbee House are lovely with great views of the local countryside. The location is great with some lovely beaches nearby. Linda was a great host and made us feel most at home. We were really glad to choose this accommodation, would recommend it to others and would certainly stay there again. Read less

A fabulous place to stay

By Dave & Sam Poole on 07-May-2021

This is a superb place to stay, very comfortable with all the amenities that you require. The bedroom is a great size and the living and dining areas are spacious giving you room to relax. The owners are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble, from the moment we booked to our arrival and our departure were handled wonderfully by Linda and her family. The location gives you access to a vast area both in Devon and Cornwall and Callington offers all the shops that you would need including some fantastic takeaways. We used it as a base to visit family as well as enjoy fabulous costal walks and couldn't have wanted anything more. We will definitely be back..

Brilliant!
