Comfortable country manor house set amidst lawns, shrubs, trees and fields, 3 miles west of Holsworthy and an easy 8 miles from the beautiful seaside resort of Bude in North Cornwall, Parnacott House sleeps up to 14 in 7 bedrooms, two of which are on the ground floor. Parnacott is a characterful Grade II Listed house and self-catering holiday home that welcomes children and dogs. We are also a licensed wedding venue.
Parnacott is ideal for family holidays, birthdays, special celebrations, reunions, and those who just want to unwind and relax with friends. We book Friday to Friday and for 7 nights during the school holidays. Weekends, or mid-week breaks, may be booked at other times of the year. Christmas and New Year are very special and quite enchanting weeks. Decorated for the festive weeks, including Christmas trees, Parnacott quite simply glows and twinkles - a magical experience for young children!
There's plenty of space indoors and out. Inside we have a spacious 'games' room with pool table, dressing up box, dolls' house, small puppet theatre, toys, games and books. Outside we have lawns for croquet, badminton, cricket and football. The barbecues are of the traditional charcoal type with wooden garden furniture and recliners. The hot tub seats up to 7 and is available from April to end October. In the open barn there is a Ping Pong table, body boards and beach kit including buckets and spades which are available to use. Lots of parking space. and secure space for bikes, roof boxes or Malibu boards to be stored.
Parnacott House is a licensed wedding venue. As well as smaller weddings requiring a marquee we host petite and elopement weddings. Get married in the Georgian drawing room or outdoors, We can be very flexible out of the High season: you might decide to book one day, 2 or 3 nights, or longer. The North Cornish coast is rich in lovely sandy beaches, most of which are great for surfing. Summerleaze, the largest Bude beach, has a sea pool - always enjoyed by young children as well as adults. As the tide retreats rock pools are exposed and the shrimping nets come into their own.
The South West Coastal footpath offer walkers varied walking experiences and many stunning views., especially when heading up towards Hartland.
About one hour from Exeter or Plymouth, Parnacott House is ideally located for exploring and enjoying this very beautiful part of the Westcountry.
