Simply perfect 34 Middle Street, Brixham, TQ5 8ER, United Kingdom Date of Stay 13 Apr 2017 Firstly about Brixham, I small fishing town on the South Devon coast. Busy with tourists during holidays but night times surprisingly quiet. Fabulous place that if you want to recharge or want a quiet get away is brilliant. No the cottage. It is just like a home away from home, ok it's located above and art gallery but an extra few stairs didn't hurt, even my elderly parents didn't mind, and the dog positively loved it when he was allowed down them. The accommodation is great, a little quirky, mainly in the last bedroom. My son likened his particular bed it to Harry Potters room under the stairs. Saying that he is 5'6 and managed perfectly. The rest of the beds were great (2 double bedded rooms and the twin, which my son shared with his sister, her bed was standard single). Kitchen and lounge were well appointed with all the bits, pieces and appliances one could ever need. The two different outdoor areas were brilliant, although the front balcony looks out over the road, car park and far side of town, is was actually lovely to sit and watch the world go by, drink coffee and read the papers. The rear deck area is up some quite steep stairs which I suspect could be a little risky if wet or icy, but it too was a lovely area and very private. If the sun comes out you really need to be careful as the area is totally protected from wind. Fabulous place. Would love to visit again My Response Thankyou so much for taking the time to review the cottage and brixham...i hope you will be back soon..rosalie Edit your Response
Cosy clean cottage We booked this cottage for my in-laws 58th wedding anniversary, we also had a two year old and this cottage suited all of us. It was very clean warm and cosy and had everything you would ever need, it really was home from home. It is in a fantastic location and we loved our weekend stay here. There was even a stair gate here which was ideal for us. This cottage is literally a very short stroll from the harbour and you have all the shops on your door stop. We will definitely be returning. This is such a wonderful little cottage, we felt very at hime from the moment we arrived. The pictures do not do it justice. It is so charming and quirky as well as being very well equipped. We stayed here during February half term and we even managed to sit out on the balcony on a sunny afternoon to watch the world go by, we got quite hot! We booked directly with the owner, Rosalie, who dealt with our enquiry very promptly. The information that she provided was excellent which made the booking and arrival process easy. The management company who look after the property require a special mention. They couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. When we arrived the boiler wasn't working, they were around within 10 minutes and sorted it out - amazing service and the ladies were lovely. We had to phone them again during our stay (our fault!) and I really felt that nothing was too much trouble for them. Brixham itself is a great place for a holiday. The harbour is charming, with so many great places to eat and drink. There are lovely walks to little coves and other places of interest and pretty much everywhere seems to be dog friendly. We have had a wonderful little holiday.
date of Stay 25 Oct 2015 We booked this lovely property for its great location and old fashioned looks. It was a genuine wow when you walk in and with its beams and old fireplaces you step back in time a little bit. Although saying that you have a fully fitted kitchen, 2 showers and a bath. Wi fi, free view etc. The little balcony at the front is a great way to enjoy the sunshine and watch the busy people below you with a little bit of smugness as you relax. The town is literally on your doorstep and the harbour is an easy 5 minute maximum walk down the road. You are opposite a Tesco and a Co-op both open till 11 and the property itself is above a lovely art gallery. Just be warned as its an older property some of the door frames are a little low I am 6 foot and had a few bangs on the head when i forgot to duck. When you first arrive be prepared to unload the car quickly as you are on the main road to the harbour and then you can go down to your own parking space right on the harbour. A lovely place and we hightly recommend the property, it was clean, tidy and well loved and a credit to the owners who leave enough notes and e-mails to make sure you have everything you need. Thank you for a lovely holiday
Date of Stay 20 May 2016 The cottage is home from home but better still it's in beautiful brixham, 3 lovely clean bedrooms, well stocked kitchen diner and a large comfortable lounge , with everything a family could want for a holiday, there is a small balcony where you can watch the world go by, at the rear a raised patio with a barbecue a lovely private sun trap , the cottage is so handy for shops ,transport ,and has it's own parking spot near the harbour which is a bonus ,we are already looking forward to another week in 2017 can't wait
