Ideal for large groups & families, (Hens & Stags) for celebrations, holidays & short breaks. Prices are for 20 guests in 8 bedrooms. Huge 34' sitting room. Dining room seating 24. Excellent local pubs restaurants. Numerous local sports & activities, Many places of interest to visit. Near Leeds City Centre, the Dales & Moors. 30min from International Airports. Free wifi.
The space
Ravensprings is a Very large, 8 bedroomed Gentleman's Residence (built for the Mayor of Brighouse originally) . The House has a well equipped kitchen range cooker & free-standing gas cooker, full granite worktops. American Fridge Freezer with ice maker. There is also a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier. It is well- equipped and we frequently have local caterers come to the House. There is also a bonus of a hatch between the kitchen and large dining room. The dining room has two / three tables and seating for up to 23 guests.
The sitting room as already mentioned is quite unique with mahogany panelling from the Mauritania ocean liner, a large open fire and extends in area to 34 - 17 feet in area with numerous couches and comfy armchairs for all guests. . There is also a smart TV with sky and Unlimited Wifi. We also have 1 double bedroom on the groundfloor which has an ensuite shower and washhandbasin and is just opposit the downstairs cloakroom and toilet.
There are 4 bedrooms on the first floor; 2 ensuite 1 with a full bathroom and the other a shower room, another has a vanity unit and washbasin. and there is also the full size family bathoom on this floor.. On the second floor are a futher 3 bedrooms one has a toilet and wash basin en suite and the large back bedroom sleeps 6 guests in single beds and is ideal for children. There is also a shower room on this floor.
The garden is enclosed but we cannot guarantee that an adventurous dog or child can't escape! The garden has various areas including the patio which is easily accessed from the kitchen and the reception room with pool table. The patio has a brick barbeque built in and 4 picnic benches seating up to 24. Please note dog owners should supervise pets to avoid damage, digging and escapes!
Please note because we are a self-catering property bed-linen is included but towels are an optional extra and we advise guests to bring their own personal towels as the laundry costs are high. (I have to add this; we only provide one toilet roll per lavatory)
Guest access
Guests hire the entire property (excluding the cellars & garage). I can shut off 2 bedrooms during the low season or for mid week stays. which makes the house more affordable for smaller groups.
Other things to note
Please note I can only accept minimum bookings for a weekend of Friday & Saturday nights (which includes up to 3pm Sunday). Midweeks are normally 3 nights Smaller groups can book off peak for less by my closing off bedrooms and should contact me about this. As you can imagine running Ravensprings is very expensive and you do get the whole House when you book.
