Overview
Description
Welcome to Aberyscir Coach House, my one bedroom holiday cottage in the hills of the Brecon Beacons (Bannau Brycheiniog) National Park. Our Dark Skies offer amazing opportunity for star gazing and even experiencing Aurora activity during this period of high sunspot activity.
We have panoramic views of the mountains including Pen Y Fan all from the comfort of your patio or our swing seat in the paddock. All that the park has to offer is just a short drive from the Coach House offering something for everyone how ever active.
Aberyscir Coach House is a single storey converted Victorian building sitting within our small holding just 3 miles from Brecon. Once the home of the Rector’s pony and trap it is now a comfortable welcoming base to explore the Brecon Beacons.
The cottage sleeps two, with a double bedroom, bathroom with electric over bath shower, lounge with super fast WiFi, log burner and Smart HD TV. The kitchen is compact but well equipped with access to a washing machine, dryer, freezer, and additional fridge if needed.
The patio area offers dining alfresco, BBQ and glorious views of the mountains.
The barn has safe storage for your bikes and there is ample parking beside the coach house. There is an untethered Zappi 7kW EV charger available at an additional charge.

Leave ReviewThe views are stunning and the dark skies are truly spectacular
By Sue Bower on 02-Feb-2025Lovely accommodation very comfortable and cosy has everything you could need plus more, the hosts, Valerie & Peter, are very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable of the area from many walks to try and pubs restaurants and take aways to check out (they provide a folder full of information) The views are stunning and the dark skies are truly spectacular, I have never seen so many stars with just the naked eye, no binoculars or telescopes needed. Booking is easy and Valerie was very accommodating with our dates. Hopefully we will return to this beautiful part of Wales and this lovely gem of a cottage.
A little gem
By Jenny T on 10-Jan-2024The Coach House is a little gem. Extremely well equipped and everything you need, plus more. Some nice touches by the owners, from spare batteries to unlimited wood for the burner. They have thought of everything you might need for a wonderful stay. Valerie and Peter have collected a comprehensive range of local walks, activities to do, menus and they themselves are an enyclopedia of local knowledge. It was useful to have a drying room, not to mention somewhere to store a bike. Kitchen bijou but had everything needed to cook all meals. The bed is super comfortable so we had great sleep. Broadband was very good...quite a novelty in Wales! Pretty location, nice views/walking from the door, really quiet, plenty of birds and wildlife. Excellent value, effortless booking process, and kind, hospitable owners who genuinely want you to enjoy their property and the area.
