Beautiful, well appointed, dog friendly cottages. We loved our week long stay in Blackberry cottage. Up the hill form charming Boscastle, this was a great jumping off point to enjoy some seaside towns and beaches. The cottage had everything we needed and was dog friendly without feeling like many dogs had stayed there before. The cottage was immaculate with fresh furnishing and deccor. The children enjoyed the play equipment on site and the dog enjoyed the big field. Our favourite stops for the week were Trebarwith Strand beach and our favourite meal was at the Napoleon pub.
First day here. It’s a Pretty location that is very close to the sea side village of Boscastle. We received a friendly reception with special touches. Scones for the grown ups, an Easter egg for the young one and treats for the dogs. And best of all, milk in the fridge for a cup of something hot after a long drive. There’s a huge field at the back of the property for walking the dogs, which is a huge bonus for dog owners. If you are a walking fan, or just want a base set in the quiet countryside with sea views, this is an idyllic location. We have stayed in a lot of holiday cottages over the years and this is highly recommended.
Perfect stay at Polrunny farm. We stayed in Blackberry cottage - 2 adults, a 9 year old and a 3 year old - which had everything we needed for our week away. We loved the garden with its play equipment and picnic benches where we ate breakfast and dinner most days and watched the bats as the sun went down. Lovely walk down the hill to the Nap pub and so much to do in the area. Thanks Adam and Melanie for making us feel so welcome (and for the best scones we ate all week!), and the brilliant blog recommendations. Any families visiting should definitely check out the Hidden Valley for something a bit different.
