A Little Bit
About Bognor Regis
You’d never guess that Bognor has roots as a small fishing village if it weren’t for the handful of small fishing boats dotted along the coast.
Bognor Regis is a bustling seaside resort, its beachfront is equipped with a wide promenade, perfect for a jog…or maybe an afternoon stroll taking in the seaside atmosphere. The town has plenty of places to relax, from the beach to one of the town’s many parks and gardens.
Tennis courts, a putting green and a crazy-golf course can be enjoyed there and one of Bognor’s most famous family attractions is Butlins, the holiday camp where kids and adults can swim, play sports, watch shows and more.
The seafront has lots of amusements and rides for kids to enjoy during the warmer months. The open-air market in the town square is a highlight to the shopping area, but there are numerous boutiques, department stores and high street shops.
The many beach bars and restaurants give Bognor a continental feel, but head into town and you can equally find a selection of tradition pubs and historic buildings. It has a lively nightlife and it’s not hard to find a trendy bar or nightclub to party until the early hours and live music and performances can be found most weekends.
Bognor is home to the Alexandra Theatre, the town’s leading venue for arts, music and entertainment for all audiences. Some other prominent events in Bognor’s calendar include the ROX Music Festival, the Sands of Time Seaside Festival. You could take a holiday rental from an owner direct in the summer to see and experience the Bognor Carnival.
