Description

Located in the Blackdown Hills between Honiton and Cullompton in East Devon.It is an idyllic family destination within an area of outstanding natural beauty, less than an hour’s drive from Exmoor or Dartmoor. You can enjoy stunning views and share the wonderful facilities, and free fishing on our lakes. The on site facilities include a children’s play-area with trampoline and play tower also a tennis court for a ‘knock about’. A games barn with badminton, table tennis, toys, books and board games are ideal for children to let off steam, there is also a solar heated seasonal outdoor swimming pool for all to enjoy. There are three well-stocked Carp / coarse fishing lakes.

The property comprises of a 17th Century Devon long house, the Farm House which has been extended to include Oaktree Cottage to sleep 16 in 8 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. This traditional Long House has a conservatory leading out from the country kitchen to a patio looking out to a large enclosed private garden laid to lawn. There is a hot tub on the patio (hire charges apply) together with garden seating where you can enjoy magnificent views. The house is well equipped, boasting a 40” flat screen television with Sky, DVD and stereo player in a spacious lounge with large wood burner in an inglenook fireplace and a fully equipped cottage style kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher. There is a large dining room with Aga (hire charges apply) as well as an additional smaller kitchen and lounge in the extension. There is also a mezzanine study area with desk, additional seating and wi fi broadband connection. 2 ground floor bedrooms for the less mobile make this a great house for the extended family to get together.

Bookings are Friday to Friday for 7 night stays, Friday to Monday for weekend stays, and Monday to Friday for mid-week stays.

There is a £275 refundable security deposit to ensure against damage, pets are charged at £40 each and a maximum of 3 accepted.
The first basket of logs for the wood burner in the lounge is free and then £5 per basket thereafter
Hot tub charged at £325 for short break or 400 for a week
Bed linen provided.
Towels and tea towels provided.

Amazing Stay

Party of 10 friends staying at the Farmhouse. Beautiful location, and immaculately clean house. Justin was so kind leaving balloons chocolate and fizz to help us celebrate a big birthday. We enjoyed the time relaxing in such a beautiful place and will be returning.

Lovely time spent in the Farm House, at South Farm. We were two families staying over the New Year Break. Fantastic location, lovely house and Justin was a great and attentive host. We caught plenty of fish, made good use of the hot tub, games barn and trampoline too! There was plenty of space in the house and with the fire and Aga it was very cosy. Hoping to return in the summertime!
