Description
Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room and things to do - the sea, beach and indoors games room means fun whatever the weather! The house is comfortable for two or eleven people - it's homely and very well equipped. The house is minutes from the beach with stunning views over Bigbury Bay towards Hope Cove. I do provide a welcome pack, which includes a cream tea everything you need for a holiday and more besides!Please note, the "from" rates offered during the shoulder months are up to 6 people.
*Bedrooms and Bathrooms*
5 bedrooms - two twin rooms with 3ft mattresses (one with pull out spare divan), one double king size bed, one super king (with en suite and cot) and one bunk bed room. There are two shared bathrooms (one with a shower, one with a bath), an en suite with a shower, and one cloakroom with a shower.
*Living and Outside Areas*
There is a large dining room with adjacent sun room, a lounge with comfortable sofas and a TV, and a games room with a pool table and table tennis table leading to the garden and second lounge with TV.
Outside there is a large balcony with steps leading to a large garden with mature plants and apple trees, and even a field to kick a ball around. The house is equipped with plenty of garden furniture, a gas BBQ and seats on the garden veranda.
A cot, high chairs & stair gates can be provided if required.
*Parking*
Off street parking for 6 cars.
*Pets*
I am sorry I do not take pets as the house is very large and we do not have time to do the extra cleaning that is required.
*The Area*
In the local area there's loads to do. In walking distance are Bigbury Bay beach and Burgh Island (inspiration for Agatha Christie's books!), take the sea tractor, swim, surf, windsurf, paddle board, kayak, play golf or walk the South West Coast path. You can also drive to Dartmoor, Dartmouth, several other beautiful beaches or visit numerous National Trust properties and more.
There's also some great places to eat including The Pilchard Inn (a 13th Century pub on the beach serving drinks and basic food), The Venus Café (a café serving hot food on the beach), The Journey’s End (a personal favorite, 13th century pub a short walk away) and the Oyster shack, which is a short drive and serves delicious sea food.

Not only are the sea views breathtaking and an easy 5 minute walk to the beach, the house was just perfect, a home from home. A place for everything and everything in its right place We had a Christmas stay so I packed most of my go to kitchen gadgets, but I needn''t have as Tara has everything a home cook would need! Sheena is lovely and added extra touches like a real Christmas tree and decorated the place too, it was so thoughtful and really appreciated by all! The house is really large and each room clean and comfortable. The sofa''s and beds were really comfortable too as were the bed pillows, so much so that I looked them up and have got my own coming! Best night''s sleep I''ve had in a long time! There are loads of games for kids and big kids to play! The Garden is beautiful and I loved just sitting there looking out to sea. I never got to see any lightening storms but there''s always another time when hopefully in a heartbeat we''d be back!"
