Overview
Description
Newly renovated 2 storey house, fully equipped with brand new furniture and beds. The property is right in the middle of Bergerac, in immediate walking distance of restaurants, bars and cafes, bakeries, the main market and small supermarkets. It is located in a calm street, not overlooked, so you can make the best of the small sunny garden (complete with palm tree!).
The ground floor is taken up by one very large room (40m2) with 3 full length french windows. The kitchen/dining area blends seamlessly into the living area with its 4 seater sofa and armchair - the perfect place to relax. There is high speed (fibre optic) wi-fi throughout.
You can normally park just outside the house, and we have a lock-up garage next to the house (not suitable for very large vehicles). The railway station is 600m away and a less-than-10 minute walk through the old town brings you to the banks of the Dordogne, and the Maison des Vins (Quai Cyrano), our favourite place to have a glass of wine overlooking the river.

Enjoyable stay
By Ben J. on 12-Aug-2024Great property which is accurately described in the listing. Excellent communication with the host. I hadn’t realised that parking on the road outside wasn’t technically allowed (which was outlined in the welcome book), but the garage fit our Toyota Verso comfortably. Would stay again.
Ideal property for visiting Bergerac.
By Alastair C. on 02-Jun-2024The property is situated close to the centre of Bergerac within easy reach of all attractions, There is a small garden which gives a good feeling of privacy. Access to the property was easy. There is parking in a private garage within a few yards of the property and, although access to the garage is tight, it is relatively easy. The property is comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Although we did not meet the owners we felt they cared about their guests and were very helpful and friendly by email correspondence. We felt very welcome and secure. Although located in the centre of the town, and maybe not in the prettiest street, it was very quiet. We feel we made a good choice with this property and have no reservation in recommending it to others.

Nos hôtes ont été très agréables, serviables et réactifs à nos demandes. We had a lovely stay in this clean comfortable house. Great location for getting around on foot. The owners were very nice and reacted quickly to our needs.
Perfect Gem in the Heart of Beautiful Bergerac
By Cliff S on 25-Apr-2023This lovely home is very well situated near the heart of the oldest part of Bergerac and the beautiful Dordogne. We came by train and the station is less than a ten minute walk away. There are plenty of shops and good restaurants steps from your door. Everything one needs for a comfortable stay is available. The sunny garden is a great place for a cocktail after a day of sightseeing. Thank you, Martin and Gwendoline
