Description
***FULLY RENOVATED FOR 2024***'The purplest heather and the yellowest gorse is found at Llwyngloddaeth' (Robert Owen, 1885).
This stone-built Barn stands at 700ft. above the magnificent Mawddach Estuary, amongst views described by Ruskin as the most beautiful in Europe.
The remote Barn lies in the Snowdonia National Park, ideally situated for walking and climbing holidays, centrally placed to explore North Wales, and perfect for a family holiday by the sea.
A delightful 2 mile walk leads from your front door, through unspoilt countryside, and down to the beachfront at Barmouth.
Barmouth is a bustling seaside town with a wide variety of pubs, shops and restaurants. There is a supermarket for all your self-catering needs.
Once home, relax on the sofas in front of the woodburner (we provide the wood) in our open plan living area. There is also a TV and DVD player as well as board games and puzzles.
The Barn is child-friendly and has a cot and highchair for your use. Dogs are welcome and there is a sheep fence to prevent them straying inadvertently

Leave ReviewA great spot
By Neal on 31-Dec-2020A great spot only a mile or two out of barmouth but in a world of it's own. Accomadation is everything you could need and communication with the owners was great.

By Laurie on 15-Aug-2020A lovely week away! very friendly and helpful owners.Really peaceful location with Beautiful views, well equipped property. My 3 girls didn't want to leave. Perfect for our 2 dogs too with some lovely walks. We will definitely return.
Definitely a must stay!
By Dan on 13-Feb-2020The barn Barmouth is the best place to get away from it all, it's peaceful the views are breathtaking. We go every year and just love it. It has everything you need and want including washing machine and dishwasher and WiFi and plenty of space. My only con is that the place could do with a bit of a refresh in places, but we don't go for that. It would just be a nice surprise to go next time and see a few small changes. We will definitely keep going, we have for the last 6 years at least 7 times!
If you want gorgeous views and peace, silence , calm, this is the cottage for you !
By Mchols on 22-Jul-2019We wanted to chill..we got it, we wanted silence, we got it apart from sheep !..Amazing views can't wait to return !
The Barn at Barmouth
By Rmbow on 24-Apr-2019Really, really enjoying this spot. Quiet, peaceful and secluded but close enough to everything in town and the region. Plenty of walks and the accommodation is great. Comfortable with all amenities provided and clean and tidy. My dogs are just as happy and very relaxed. The enclosed garden area is perfect for them to lie outside in the sun and plenty big enough to run around in. Definitely recommend and will be back soon.
