A fantastic place to stay in Bakewell !

By Ann Pimm on 10-Feb-2024

Ribblesdale is a perfect place to take a holiday, away from the crowds but a walkable distance to the delights of Bakewell, with its many restaurants, pubs and Bakewell tarts !! We really enjoyed our week in this very warm , comfortable and well kept house. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you needed. Cupboards organised and beautifully clean. A handy washer/ dryer was in the utility room with a useful downstairs wc. In warm weather some nice patio doors open onto a small garden too. The bedrooms were lovely, with clean comfortable bedding , soft white towels and amazing mattresses. . The owners were so good too, making sure we had everything we needed. Nicky and Martyn are approachable, helpful and friendly. All in all ,we had a great week ! Thank you

A week of mixed weather but always a welcome cottage to return to..

By Susan on 16-Sep-2023

A week of VERY mixed weather but always a welcome cottage to return to. Varying lengths of walks – according to ability – all enjoyed. Some old favourites, some new. A lovely ‘birthday’ meal at Lathkill Dale Hotel. Staff even provided a candle!

Our 4th visit to Ribblesdale - a home from home

By Neil & Emma on 19-Aug-2023

This has been our 4th visit to Ribblesdale Cottage – a ‘home away from home’. Thank you Martyn for your warm welcome. This has been a fantastic week spent here – much needed down time as a family. We have filled our week with cycling on the Monsal Trail – the views are breathtaking – shopping in Bakewell – the fish and chips and chicken bites are yummy. Visited Castleton, Chatsworth, plus the added bonus of watching Pride and Prejudice at Chatsworth outdoor cinema. Recommend Chatsworth Farm Shop. Their fresh pizzas & desserts are incredible. Ribblesdale is always clean, tidy, comfy beds, well equipped. We will return again. Thank you. So many memories made here.

We have loved staying here.

Booked both cottages for our 40th wedding anniversary. Our son & his family stayed next door. We stayed in Ribblesdale with our daughter. A busy week. We have loved staying here. Great location. Would stay again. Thanks again.

The boys (2 and 3) loved their ‘holiday house’.

By Angela on 20-May-2023

We have had a lovely week in the cottage. The boys (2 and 3) loved their ‘holiday house’. There has been plenty to do within a 20 min drive - for the children the highlight being Matlock Farm Park. Thank you for a lovely stay.
