Lovely house, clean & well-equipped

Great week in Bakewell. Always a pleasure to stay in the town. Lovely house, clean and well equipped. Enjoyed our walks between the showers. Haddon Hall well worth a visit.

Lovely week, immaculate cottage

By Helen & Dave on 07-Sep-2024

This was our fourth visit to Ribblesdale and it did not disappoint. Lovely week and the cottage was, as usual, immaculate. The Castle Inn does a great chicken in the basket and we had a lovely meal in the Bull’s Head in Ashford in the Water. Walked Mam Tor into Castleton and back through Cave Dale. Beautiful scenery. We found a lovely café next to the school at Castleton. Chai lattes to die for! Well worth walking through Dovedale into Tissington. Lovely café in Tissington. Looking forward to returning in 2025. Thank you Martin & Nicky.

Our fifth stay

By Neil on 24-Aug-2024

Thank you Martin and Nicky again for a wonderful home from home holiday stay. It’s our fifth holiday here at Ribblesdale and we all enjoy our stay. Visited many new places in the surrounding area. Lady Bower Reservoir and Derwent Edge well worth a visit. Ribblesdale is a clean, comfortable base for our holiday and I’m sure we will be back for a sixth stay. Thank you Martin for making us so welcome.

Spacious and very comfortable

By Roland on 16-Aug-2024

We are a family of four and we had a lovely week in Ribblesdale in August 2024. It's a surprisingly spacious cottage and very comfortable with all amenities you can ask for. It's in a quiet part of otherwise busy Bakewell, and a nice walk down the hill via Butts Rd takes you into the town centre in about ten minutes. There are nice walks into the beautiful countryside straight from the doorstep. A short drive also takes you to beautiful places like Lathkil Dale, Cheedale (see pic), Youlgreave, the Nine Sisters stone circle, Eyam plague village, Ashford-on-the-Water, to name just a few of the sites we visited during the week. Good communication with owner and warm welcome by a neighbour on arrival. Great value and highly recommended.

A Great Holiday

By David & Caroline on 03-Aug-2024

We really enjoyed a Great Holiday, cosy & comfortable. Visited the surrounding areas and would recommend the Shalimar Indian Restaurant and Cromford Mill is worth a visit. Thanks Nicky & Martin for a warm welcome. Would definitely stay again.
