We had a great time at the cottage with 5 adults and 5 kids at the cottage in Bakewell. There was plenty of space for us all to cook a big dinner, and eat around the table and have a super chill in the massive living room after. All the bedrooms were clean and comfortable. The sheets had that hotel feeling. Great location for a good walk out to Bakewell for treats and chips. We will be back!

Absolutely loved my stay at this house! It was stylish, clean, and had all the amenities we needed. The host was friendly and provided great local tips. Also convenient, shops and restaurants just a short walk away.

Where to start! Me and my family had the most wonderful stay here in this idyllic English cottage, situated amongst the historic Town of Bakewell (Just visit the Old House Museum only a minutes walk from the cottage to spend a few hours immersed in its history!). Not only is the surrounding town so enchanting and lovely but the house itself is warm and welcoming, with plenty of space for the kids to lose themselves in play. I could go on, but Ill save the rest for you to discover on your own! ... I couldnt recommend it enough

We stayed at Victoria Cottages for a family gathering and birthday weekend, 9 of us in total and there was plenty of space for us all to relax and socialise. The house is well laid out with everything you need, and is a great location and short walk to the lovely Bakewell town centre. The instructions and guides from the owner Maggie were very clear and helpful and great communication from booking to checking out, would highly recommend for a family stay in the beautiful Peak District!

This was a repeat visit for us. We love going to Victoria Cottage as it's such a good base for visiting the town and for good walks in the nearby hills (with no need to get back in the car). There are lots of things that make this a cut above compared to many holiday homes. The well equipped kitchen has loads of glasses, plates, pans etc. There's no need to wash up all the time just to have a plate, like in some places. And the kitchen is good for cooking and hanging out for the evening. The big, light living room is an excellent space to spend time with the family. And we like to sit in the high garden behind the house at the end of the day - and enjoy a drink looking across the hills and town.
